I was looking through my shelves the other day and was shocked to find that I didn't own a single club/ibiza compilation album. Perhaps I've borrowed some from friends in the past, but I couldn't find one club album in my entire collection. Wanting to change this, I asked a few friends what they recommended, and they came up with this album - Clubmix Ibiza. The album is perfect for someone in my situation as it includes a wide range of dance tracks, including many newer ones from this summer such as 'Another Chance' by Roger Sanchez, as well as some older, very successful tracks such as 'Groovejet' by Spiller. Therefore, this album is the perfect compilation for someone who owns little or no dance albums, and wants a collection of the best tracks...

Truly the best club anthems...this week

Advantages: They'll make you dance
Disadvantages: None whatsoever

...This has been so hard, my ten favourite club anthems ever?! I don't know where to start, I mean some songs can have awful lyrics and/or music but are still special to you. Memories associated with a certain song can come back to you and make you feel happy or sad or whatever. I love clubbing and I love music so this op is a treat in itself for me. What defines a club anthem? Well for me they are tracks played in clubs (duh!) usually of the trancey/dancey variety. So forget about boybands/ girlbands and the manufactured rubbish. I'd describe my taste as pretty varied (my mate reckons its 'bloody weird' but what would a Steps fan know anyway?). These songs are special to me at this point in time. Club anthems- rock style

...Well, this all depends on the kind of club you go to, doesn’t it. Knowing nothing of the dance/pop scene, I cannot write about club anthems as it is implied. Also, I don’t like the word ‘anthem’. So here is my ‘rock club anthems’, a collection of some of the better songs you are guaranteed to hear at a rock club. These aren’t necessarily my favourite songs but they are pretty good. Fear Factory – Lynchpin This is actually a superb song. With double speed kick drumming, great beat and superb guitars this is a truly great electro metal song. Will fill the dance floor with true metalheads playing air-guitar and head banging. “You can’t take me apart”. Club Paraiso Hotel Review

Advantages: 3 Pools, 2 bars, close to nightlife, good entertainment
Disadvantages: not great if your looking for a quiet holiday

...I stayed in the Club paraiso based in San Antonio in July 2004 and July 2005, and I've had the best holiday of my life. We booked the holiday as a late deal so we got a week for £200. RECEPTION On entrance the reception is very clean and spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful, the security are very strict sometimes too much so, they once wouldn't let us sign a friend in becasue he didn't have his passport with him. You need to show your swipe card on each entry. THE ROOMS The rooms are studio rooms, spacious for 2, but get a little crowded at 3, there are cooking facilities including, two cooking rings, a toaster, kettle, all cuttlery and a little oven. The shower does its job and there are always clean sheets and towels, the balconys are a good size, the first time I stayed the view was much to be desired but...

...Seaview Country Club Location: Seaview country Club is located 30 minutes from Ibiza Airport and about 3 miles from the lights of San Antonio. Puerto De Torrent is a small area of which the main drag is about ¾ of a mile long with plenty of bars and shops on both sides of the main road which takes you to San Antonio. Ibiza is seeing an overall of the main roads at the moment and there are lots of diversions to and from San Antonio and Ibiza Town so take care driving or use the public bus service which is very good and cheap to use. Hotel Seaview Country Club: First impression is always a good sign and on entering the main reception you are greeted with a lovely marble reception area which is very clean and air conditioned. Well, some might know them simply as the band that got Bruce Springsteen to join them on stage during their performance at Glastonbury this year. Well, this is their album ?The ?59 Sound?. Released in 2008 on SideOneDummy Records, it?s a twelve-track album which instantly personifies the ?Americana? type of band. Big choruses, full of melodies and short instrumental interludes and breakdowns ? usually surrounding a glitzy guitar solo. The opening track, ?Great Expectations?, is just that. ...Ibiza 2006 with club 18-30, i really didn't know what to expect as i was 18 and it was my first holiday with them. I'd heared rumours ibiza with club 18-30 was going to be mental and wasn't for the weak hearted. This however was not true, they are a great bunch of people. The whole concept of club 18-30 is to meet people of the same age group and get totally out of your face in different bars, in different ways and just have the time of your life...which i did!! The reps are so chilled out and funny its unreal they are so approachable, as if you've known them years. The hotels aren't the best but they are just what you need as you don't really spend much time in them anyway. The reps offer discount prices on club tickets and do other activities such as booze cruises. The booze cruise was most possibly the best day of my life - 2 boats...

club classics - absolute belters

...We travelled to Cala Longa in Ibiza in September 2006 and stayed in the Club Playa hotel which is an all inclusive hotel on the beach front. This is very handy if you want to keep nipping back for snacks or drinks seen as they are already paid for. It takes between 45 mins and an hour and a half to transfer from the airport to the hotel depending on time of travel but we must have hit a bad day as it took us well over two hrs to get there that was the worst bit. The hotel is approximately a 100m walk to the smooth sandy beach. I thought the hotel to be fantastic. The natives are polite and nothing is too much trouble for them.They readily greet you on entering the shops. In the bars we were asked if we wanted to sit down and they would come for our drinks order and fetch it for us but I chose to fetch it myself. The least I could...
