Advantages: Wide Range, Cheap, Quick Delivery Disadvantages: Cheap Looking Site
...I've only quite recently begun shopping with Amazon, the main reason being receiving vouchers from survey sites and from on here. It's now one of the first sites I look at when making a purchase.
~~~ Products ~~~
Amazon.co.uk stocks a massive variety of products. So far everything I have searched for has been available to buy on the site, although most of the things have been quite common like DVD's and games. I can't think of anywhere that stocks as much stuff as Amazon, maybe not even Ebay.
~~~ Prices ~~~
The prices on Amazon are very competitive and are usually the cheapest place to but DVD's and games, again being usually cheaper than Ebay, I have no doubt that this is the case for many other products. The main down side is that cash back sites don't offer cash back for Amazon, or am I on the wrong cash back site...

Review of Amazon.co.uk
Advantages: Wide choice and easy to use Disadvantages: Wishlists disappear
...I am sure there is no one here who would not know what Amazon.co.uk is, but, on the off chance...
Amazon.co.uk is a website that started originally as an online book store. Now over the years it has grown and developed to sell a whole range of items. Including, Electrics, DVD's, CD's, Appliances, Toys, Games and many more.
Layout and Navigation
----------------------------
Amazon.co .uk has an orange/blue and white theme throughout; it's clear and well laid out. There is a search bar at the top of the page to type in what it is you're looking for. You can narrow this down by category.
One feature I really like about Amazon is the suggestions that appear on screen, you can see what other people who brought the product you are viewing also looked at, so if you have similar tastes, might show you a great product to go with what...

Review of Amazon.co.uk
Advantages: Inviting, helpful, good site layout Disadvantages: Not the cheapest for certain things
...'s actually like to live with the product. There's also an option for a wish list, so you can keep a list of things you want to buy later, which saves a lot of time keeping everything into one compact list instead of having to look around the whole site when you actually want to buy more than one thing.
I've been ordering from amazon.co.uk for years now, and from what I can remember I've only had one thing arrive late, which I e-mailed amazon about and they gave me a £5 gift voucher. I would recommend it as a very safe, secure site to use.
The prices are very good but sometimes you can get things cheaper elsewhere, but it's usually not a huge amount of money. Overall a very good site to use with a good layout, lots of helpful information and a myriad of items to choose from....

Review of Amazon.co.uk
Advantages: Relief from mold to moderate pain. Disadvantages: Respiratory Sedation.
...After some light relief, I'm back to reviewing what I know and like. Drugs, medicinal science and research.
Co-codamol takes the form of a combination of paracetamol and codeine. While paracetamol belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), codeine is quite different. Codeine belongs to the opioid class of drugs, of which morphine is also a member. Both codeine and morphine are chemically similar and act much the same as endorphins. Endorphins are pain reducing substances present naturally in humans (and other animals).
Paracetamol acts at the site of pain to reduce swelling, redness, fever and pain sensation. More recent research suggests that paracetamol can also act within the brain to prevent a pain signal from being perceived, although this theory is controversial and in disagreement with other...

Review of Co-codamol
Advantages: Sells lots of books including out-of-print and limited editions; can't find it? Ask! Free SUPER SAVER DELIVERY now applies when purchase over £15 of "eligible products" Disadvantages: I forget passwords and their re-verification proceedure is bewildering; items can be expensive; must CHOOSE Super Saver Delivery to receive it; SUPER SAVER DELIVERY you WAIT FOREVER
...March 2004. I took on board the comments particularly that, although there are MANY reviews of the site, a "prospective buyer" will not want to read HUNDREDS of reviews to get the information they require, so EACH review should be as informative as possible and include all essential information. Many people associate AMAZON with Entertainment Media (Books, CDs, Films. Games) and are surprised to realise that Amazon.co.uk is now MUCH MORE.
As my TITLE clearly states that I am discussing the purchase of BOOKS on AMAZON, I will be discussing THIS in much more detail. However, it is worth noting that AMAZON have been expanding their range, so I will include brief details of what is available.
The website has a brand new featured category link (featured in turn as you change pages) in the top corner of the page to entice you to explore...

Review of Amazon.co.uk
Advantages: Good service Disadvantages: One bad expierence!
...Introduction ~
Amazon.co.uk, part of Amazon.com is probably one of the best known online shops on the net. Amazon.co.uk originally only sold books but now has a wide range of books, videos, DVD’s and CD’s. They have a limited range of palmtops, psions and mp3 players too.
Service ~
When shopping online service is one of the most important things Amazon’s service is fantastic. As soon as you buy a product you receive an e-mail confirming that, when your product has been shipped you will again be sent an e-mail. Amazon.co.uk also have a freephone helpline which is open between 9am and 5pm. This is a great feature which makes Amazon feel like a normal shop. Though when I did phone it the person I spoke to had an American accent. Perhaps calls go to USA, though my query was dealt with efficiently.

Review of Amazon.co.uk
Advantages: Good when they get it right Disadvantages: Still to be determined
...Firstly this review is not about the phone I purchased.
Having had a Pay-as-you-go phone for many years, I finally decided to bite the bullet and take out a pay monthly contract. After looking round the various high street and on-line retailers I went with Mobiles.co.uk, since I'd had a good experience using their services earlier this year when purchasing a phone for my wife. They offer a next day delivery service if the order is placed before 4pm, although this applies only to mainland UK and since I live across the pond in Northern Ireland I expected to receive it by Wednesday or Thursday having placed the order on a Sunday night.
I selected my phone, term and free gift very easily, and was feeling quite pleased, until I received an email from their sales dept on the Tuesday. This seems to be the best way to communicate...

...decide to sell with Amazon Marketplace.
#. In the terms and conditions, it states that all items must be dispatched within 2-3 days of the sale ending. That means, if John Smith bought 'The SimpsonsDVD' on the 3rd March, you would have to dispatch it between 5th-6th March.
# The terms and conditions also state that the item must be sent by first class
A good thing about Amazon Marketplace, is that they do help you with delivery costs, and give you a fixed rate, depending on which type of item you are selling, and about to send out to your buyer
A full list of delivery rates can be viewed on the Amazon.co.uk website.
Once your item has been sent, and your buyer receives there item, they then have the opportunity to give you feedback. This feedback is vital if you wish to continue with future sales, as the feedback counts...
