...After some light relief, I'm back to reviewing what I know and like. Drugs, medicinal science and research. Co-codamol takes the form of a combination of paracetamol and codeine. While paracetamol belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), codeine is quite different. Codeine belongs to the opioid class of drugs, of which morphine is also a member. Both codeine and morphine are chemically similar and act much the same as endorphins. Endorphins are pain reducing substances present naturally in humans (and other animals). Paracetamol acts at the site of pain to reduce swelling, redness, fever and pain sensation. Their aim was to ensure that they and other like them could buy quality goods at reasonable prices. ...Having stumbled over the site I read various opinions and having decided to register you can have now have mine. Many opinions have I feel been unfair to that national institution the Co-op, which now seems to have got a new lease of life, bright modern new stores, offering more choice and better services. Bearing in mind there are loads of Co-ops in the UK, my opinion is on the biggest the Co-operative Group which has over 1500 stores and which currently is expanding. These stores, like my local store, are being or have been refitted with this hopefully being completed by the end of the year. The stores they have are classed, Superstores, pretty obvious and of which I think there are 57, 600 'Market Town' stores, ie supermarkets and 900 Welcome stores, your local can't do without convenience store. Advantages: Gets rid of pain

...I have been taking Co Codamol as pain relief for about two years now. It is the only pain relief that really works for me. It is a general all over good pain relief. For me personally I take it for period pains, migraines and joint pains. It gets to work like no other pain killers do. I have tried pain killers such as annadin extra’s or paracetamol, but it is the combined medication of paracetamol and codeine that I need. The only draw back is that co codamol is addictive so I try to limit my use of them. I usually take 2 tablets a day unless the pain is really severe which is usually is during my periods. Some days I do not take any co codamol so I am definitely not addicted and would stop my use if I felt I was becoming addicted to them. However I do know of people who have become addicted to codeine so it is important... Read review

...The biggest plus point about my local Co-op is that it's near to my home, I can actually walk there, if I forget the butter I can pop back or send my daughter (for a fee), I can even assemble a basic list for her to do a small 'bits and bobs' shop should I be tied up in the house. Living in a small village is very pleasing indeed and especially so when you can dispatch your kids to gather forgotten items. The second most important feature of shopping at my Co-op is I can wander the aisles in the assured knowledge that I will always bump into a friendly face from the area. So what was supposed to be "I'll just be five minutes, I need more butter to mash the potatoes" turns into, upon my return, "Where the hell have you been? Churning the butter?" type of scenario. ...The Co-op is not my supermarket of choice. However, I work in a very small town where it’s the only large shop, and there’s also one near to where I live and a massive superstore at a nearby ‘designer mall’. So sometimes, like yesterday when no other supermarkets appeared to be open, I am forced to shop there. It’s a shame that my opinion of the Co-op is so low. After all, the store is part of many of our childhoods, not to mention firmly entrenched in the cultural fabric of British society. I remember as a kid I used to love sticking those Co-op stamps in their little books and trying to persuade my mum to spend them on me. The Co-op were respected. ...Co-Codamol is an opiate, one of the drugs in the category of medications available both over the counter and by prescription known as analgesics. ...Blartly is supposedly the 'UK's No.1 Bargain & Giveaway Site' but, until last week I'd never heard of it. I found it through a link on a freebie site and was tempted to have a look. It was launched in June 2000 and is run in the UK by a company called 'Promo Tech'. Reportedly it has between 3500-5000 hits per day with up to 500 new registered users per day. When I entered the site, after a quick browse, I went straight to the 'About Blartly' section to find out what usefulness it provided.
