...This is one of many soaps that now is currently in my bathroom and this once is the only one that my husband will use. Now I have spent over two hours yesterday and today trying to find out a nice little story to tell you about this family soap but infact about 30 minutes ago I managed to find out who now actually makes and owns the brand. In 1860 a family called Wrights came upon this idea of making coal tar soap. It stayed within the family industry for years and was eventually made by Smith and Nephew (by the way I still thought they made it today) but after hours of surfing the net, apparently this was one of the products that was bought by a company called Accantia. Advantages: Fantastic undergroun, down-tuned feel
Disadvantages: Vocals not to everyones taste

...Coal Chamber have been influenced by a strange variety of goth, hip hop and hardcore, all of which come across in this very well chosen 'Best Of' album. Since their forming in LA back in 1994, the band have stayed at the forefront of nu and underground metal, describing themselves as 'spookycore'. Their originality has remained unchallenged, and this record certainly portrays all of these traits. This record is part of 'The Roots of Roadrunner Records Series', and opens with the blistering track 'Loco' (still remaining my personal favourite Coal Chamber song). It moves on through a hypnotic mix of underground, down-tuned riffs and bass lines, the drum and bass pumping throughout. ...prove to be as good as her debut and I would be in for a great reading experience; the latter in my concern that the opposite would be true. After all, when you have something this good, the only way is down. Coal Run is the name of a small Pennsylvania town devastated by an explosion in the coal mine that employs many of the town's men. ...There are phases that people go through, where they change the products that they use to go along with trends. I have been as guilty of this as most people, although there are classics that stand out in your mind. If you close your eyes and think of different products, then there is always one make that stands out as being memorable or special, and for me, on the subject of soaps, Wrights Coal Tar is one of them. You would think from the name that its made of the tar from coal, but I am not sure of the origins of the name, just that indeed it has no coal tar in it at all. The soap comes in a unique and distinguishable brightly coloured packet and it's not fancy at all, just very easy to notice when you are searching for soaps. Advantages: works incredibly well, cheap
Disadvantages: strong smell

...This product is dream! I've tried well over £80 worth of lotions and creams form private stores and the likes of Clinique but they didn't work anywhere near as well as this soap at about £2 for a couple. I used to have very bad combination skin - spotty with large pores and dry areas. It was nightmare doing make up. Now though since using Wrights soap the spots have nearly all gone and more pores have definately got smaller, my skin isn't even dry and flaky. It's a really pure antiseptic and antifungacide. It even includes tea tree oil nowadays known to clense and heal skin. My skins also never felt so soft - as my boyfriend would testify to. Contrary to its name, there is no coal tar in the product - it's a hangover from when it was within the law to do so. The soap is orange in colour and so is perhaps a bit off putting... Read review

...Coal Chamber return with their follow up from their self titled and somewhat patchy debut release with a slightly less self titled and less patchy album known as Chamber Music. The range of styles on this album is much more varied than the first albums ‘grunts and guitars’. While there’s still plenty of grunting and guitars, they are joined by samples, keyboards, strings, singing (!) and a raft of guest vocalists, including Ozzy Osborne joining Dez on a cover of Peter Gabriel’s Shock the Monkey – where do they get these ideas from? Anyway, opening track, Tragedy (Mist isn’t really a track, just a few strings) is an absolute classic, full of aggression and yet still with a tune, something Korn did after Coal Chamber. Advantages: Works On Pores
Disadvantages: Very Soapy

.... Tea Tree Water and Afterlife in my case. This face soap is pitch black and has a coarse side and a smooth side – I asked for mine to be like this, but you could get any lump from the big block in the shop. I got a nice oblong shaped block and cut it into two. The second block which I kept in a draw shrank a little over the last couple of months, so remember to keep it in a plastic bag if you don’t intend on using it for a while. Lush give you the soap wrapped in paper which I presume absorbs up any moisture in the soap after a while. Considering it’s Lush, and Lush is well known for its smells, this product doesn’t have a strong smell of flowers or sweets but it simply smells faintly of a coal mine. Anyhow, it’s not unpleasant and smells nicer than any Boots facial wipes. When it comes to using the stuff, I simply rub it on my wet... Read review

...As soon as Chamber Music was released in britain I instantly rushed out to buy it as I had been extremely impressed with their self titled debut album. I poped it into my CD player and was offended to her pansy pop music. Gone were the thrashing guitars and monster riffs and replaced by keyboards and strings. Coal Chamber have mellowed out so those expecting mosh pit anthemes like on the original album will be disapointed. Some aspects of this album are very good and some songs not all that bad, my favourites were... What's in your mind?, Feed my dreams and No Home. This album is full of okay tracks none which really stick out the tracks are all similar and can be very repeative and boring. There are no stand out tracks on this album such as Loco, Big Truck or the classic Sway. I picked up the Digipack version of this album... Read review
