Bazooka EL350 EL Series 3.5 inch Coaxial EL350

...Bazooka EL350 EL Series 3.5 inch Coaxial EL350 I bought a pair of these car speakers last month so I thought I'd give you the low down on them. I paid £16 for them on eBay, which is a real bargain? not sure if they were as new as described but they work and are a real treat. Type: Full-Range Speakers, designed to achieve a deep enough bass extension to serve as a full range speaker without need for a subwoofer. It actually feels like there's a subwoofer underneath the car when I crank the bass up on my CD-Player. I'm not one to disturb other drivers; these speakers can achieve acceptable levels of driving volume for you to really get into your music without the sound waves departing the car and have pedestrians mutter "damn those chavs*!" Reliable and well priced 2.0 Blu-Ray Player.

Advantages: 2.0 compatible, good looking, easy to use remote, good connectivity for price, excellent price.
Disadvantages: No optical sound output, no HDMI or ethernet cables included, need memory stick for 2.0

...This is the cheapest of the Philips range of Blu-Ray players, but it is also BDP 2.0, so you access the latest special features via the internet (as well as update the firmware) through an ethernet cable (remember to buy one). Be aware that you do need to put at least a 1GB memory stick in the back to access these features, as unlike more expensive models it does not have any memory built in. Good for the money.

Advantages: Digital Optical In (Coax), Good Speakers, Easy Setup, Nice Upscaling Playback.
Disadvantages: Coax Digital In, Disc Tray is a bit flimsy.

...A good little system which gives you everything you could want from a DVD based HTS at the moment. Speakers give good sound, the upscaling is good and contrary to what the previous reviewer says it plays all kinds of burnt disks (CD & DVD), maybe it simply didn't like the ones he was using but I can confirm it works with DVD+R (dual and single layer). My only critism of this unit is that it's tray seems a little flimsy and flexes a bit if you push it in rather than using the button (so don't do that). Otherwise setup is about as clear and simple as you can get and it's a nice unit. One thing to be wary of is that this unit's Digital-In is Coaxial rather than the more standard Optical (often called TOS Link). ...personally I never use these buttons and only ever drop the fascia to insert a USB memory stick to view either photos or video that I have put on there rather than using discs all. Excellent all round DVD player

Advantages: USB, DivX, multi-region
Disadvantages: Periodically loses multi-region, no USB access from remote

...Had this player for over a year now and has been brilliant all round. Used remote hack to make multi-region and changed video system from PAL to NTSC (hold Pause until display on player flashes) to stop judder on playback. Has played everything I've thrown at it. It did lose it's multi region setting recently but used remote hack to re-set factory settings and then Zoran file burnt to CD to access region setting menu and now fine again. One drawback that I can't find a solution to is that you have to press a button on the DVD player to access the USB stick and this can't be done on the remote. Not a major problem though. Has HDMI out which provides better picture quality. Coaxial out for digital sound. Decodes Dolby 5.1 and DTS. As a bonus, it looks pretty sleek too....
