...story. It's very gripping, each page full of surprises. What I think I like best about it is the fact that it is incredibly unique. Some of the Sabrina books are too much like episodes from the television series, but this one is completely its own. The book is written by both David Cody Weiss and Bobbi Weiss. They have an interesting style that truly helps capture the magic of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, very vivid and exciting. They have also written various other Sabrina books in the collection, including 'Now and Again', 'Good Switch Bad Switch', and the first book 'A Novelization'. Whenever I see their names on the cover of a Sabrina book, I just know I am in for a good read. The series is aimed at children within the 8-13 age bracket. For those who fall into this, it will provide them with an interesting though slightly challenging read...

Peace for a couple of hours!

Advantages: Good entertainment for Children
Disadvantages: Not completely believeable.

...This DVD is a follow on from the original Cody Banks which my children did enjoy. The original film portrayed the life of a child CIA agent and the scrapes and cases he worked on and this film is a follow on. The story is set in London after Cody was sent on assignment to find an errant former agent who had nasty plans up his sleeve to take over the world with the aid of a device implanted in World Leaders that made them do his bidding. Cody's cover means he has to go to a musical school where there just so happens to be a Scotland Yard agent (also undercover but a lot better musician!) Fun and games entail including the use of a brace that transmits, sweets that explode and other Spy items and eventually Cody's cover is blown. ...Zack and Cody Martin are 14-year-olds. Their lives change when they have to move to a hotel in Boston to live. They always seem to make trouble for the staff in the hotel and they always have little schemes. One of the staff is Maddie Fitzpatrick who is a worker at the gift shop. During the series she becomes friends with the boys and she sometimes babysits them. They always cause trouble for Mr. Moesby in the hotel lobby and they regulary have to deal with the concequences. ...Yes, I don't have kids, so what am I doing reviewing this? Thesedays I try to watch quite a few films, and pretty much any film that end up on Sky Anytime, I will probably give a go to. Not all of them have been good (look out for my review on The Cottage at some point - worst film I think I have ever seen!), but it is just convenient them being there for you to watch when you want. Advantages: Different Perspective, Soundtrack, Good story

...As you can probably tell by the number of reviews that I have written on them, me are big fans of animated films so it won't come as a great surprise that we recently watched Surf's Up. The film, like all recent animations, is brilliantly rendered and animated so that no longer sets it apart. The films main characters are penguins, but this is no 'Happy Feet, as this is the story of the underdog crossed with a David vs Goliath tale from the penguin surfing world. The central character is a little Cody Maverick (voiced by Shia Lebeouf) who was bitten by the surfing bug after he met the surfing legend, the penguin who started it all (riding the tube, hanging 8) Big Z (voiced by Jeff Bridges).
