I want to drink my coffee in a clean space!

...My home town has many different coffee shops and ones that cater to all tastes and all pockets. Costa Coffee is situated on our high street and I have been there twice in the past two weeks with friends during lunch breaks. The store: The seating area is a bit grubby in our local store and it looks like everything needs a good bleach and a steam clean to be honest. Trays are left on tables for an overly long time and rubbish was piling up on the floor, they clearly needed more staff to ensure that the dining/drinking area was kept looking lovely. The staff: The staff were friendly enough, but they were painfully slow. Today we asked for one iced coffee and one soya latte to drink in and it took 12 minutes to be ready....that is a heck of a long time when you are on a lunch break of one hour and do not have the luxury of a longer break...

Help someone by drinking coffee !

Advantages: Good value, good taste and helps the growers
Disadvantages: None that I have found

...a factory in the heart of the coffee growing region. As they say: "Better value for you! Better income for the growers!" On opening the jar I was pleasantly surprised by the aroma which was one of the nicest from an 'instant' coffee and far more like freshly ground. This carried through when the coffee was made making it a very tempting drink. I should, perhaps, mention that the coffee is in freeze-dried granule form and not powder. I found the flavour of Buendia to be very pleasing, smooth and not at all bitter or too strong. I usually drink my coffee black so this made it even more noticeable. By the way, they say that a 100g jar can be expected to make 65 to 100 cups - so quite economical I have to admit that I was somewhat sceptical having "taken a chance" on a brand I hadn't even seen before, but I was certainly glad to have...

Happy Coffee Drinking

Advantages: Tastes good
Disadvantages: It's no longer suitable for my husband with caffeine in.

Advantages: Fair trade, tastes quite nice
Disadvantages: Tastes nice is very different to tastes gorgeous

Always add your milk before the water, otherwise the milk gets scorched when you add it, and try not to use boiling water, and instead use very hot water (boiling water ruins the taste apparently, but I use boiling I have to admit!) The coffee dissolves easily after briefly stirirng. So how does it taste? If you like your coffee dark and strong, then you won’t be a fan of this one. I have my coffee medium in strength, without sugar. Café Direct is a fairly mild coffee, but does have a bite to it, in the after taste. It’s very smooth (as I like it), but is ever so slightly bitter after you’ve swallowed it (Oh my god no one told me describing coffee was this hard!) It really is a smart way to drink coffee

Advantages: Keeps your coffee warm, easy to clean.
Disadvantages: Girlfriend borrows it :-)

...I'm not one for spending hours in the kitchen, so with the possible exception of the kettle there isn't really much in there I could write a review about. I love to drink coffee and tea though and when I'm home alone and fancy a change from the instant coffee I find this item is particularly handy. I'm no coffee snob, as I say I can drink the instant too, but I do enjoy a good coffee and I like to buy beans and grind them at home (coffee grinder, I do use more things in the kitchen!) There's enough washing up to do every day without buying some complicated machinery to make coffee with, so I stick with a cafetiere, but that's a bit much when it's just me around. Disadvantages: Bit bland, not full bodied as rivals or real ground coffee

Coffee with a Conscience?

Advantages: Good taste, cheap, sustainable development.

...The particular Kenco instant coffee I am writing about is their 'Sustainable Development' variety. I could have asked Ciao to allow me to review this as a new product as this particular 'flavour' has not been reviewed, but as plenty of Kenco reviews exist I thought it would be okay (and less greedy) to simply review it in this category. I don't drink coffee much as I see it as a treat and I like my coffee strong enough for the spoon to stand up in, with (I use Elmlea light) cream. I also like it so hot it burns my lips, which is probably not too good for me, hence, the rare treat. Sustainability: I first tried this brand and type out about 6 months ago and was attracted to the fact that it boasts a 'Rainforest alliance' certificate and aids local farmers earn a fair deal. Coffee with my Tea!

Advantages: delicious, quite cheap
Disadvantages: coffee doesn't appeal to as much

...Drinking a cup of coffee for me is a rare thing. I will decide on a cup maybe once every six months but even then when I drink it I am left with an awful headache and I feel quite sick too. However I love any food product which tastes of coffe - thats a total different ball game! Whether its coffee revels, coffee cake or coffee cream, I love it!
