...Colin McRae rally is a very good but slightly on the hard side. It is very realistic the way the cars slide. Only thing is Coiln McRae always wins if you don't. Colin McRae 2 is now out and is better but costs more. If you have the money colin2 if not get this it will keep you going. If you like racing games at least try this. It is realistic in the way of drivers as the poor drivers in life are poor in this game. The names are all spelt right unlike ISS Pro Evolution.(Very good)... Read review

...rally championship just can't cut it against the likes of its rival which I would reccommend above it. They are Colin McRae Rally and Colin McRae Rally two. There is the usual selection of cars form the rallying scene including subaru Impreze Turbo and Seats and Toyota Corrolla's but nothing of real excitement the handling of the cars suggests its more of an arcade racer than an accurate simulation so I guess this one isnt much cop on the whole. ...Hello everyone........ I played both Colin McRae rally 1 and 2 but I enjoyed the first 1. Colin did well in the scond but he mad it to formal it game not a mission to control the world. In the first one it was much more layed back the graphic were not much differents but if I was to buy a rally game it would more than likely that iit would be the first one also about the game is that I enjoyed the rally school which helped me win many races... ...Colin McRae Rally is an excellent game, all of the tracks and realism are very good. The handling of the cars is superb (even better with a Microsoft Steering Wheel) and the feel for speed is very good. One of the really good things about this game is the tutorial that basically takes you step by step through stages, at the end of each stage you get a score and can only progress to the next when you achieve a certain percentage. Once you have completed the tutorial at all levels, you are ready for the real challenge of rallying. The game is quite hard to master, I recommend starting at the easy level and try to become the champion before attempting the medium and hard levels. This is about the best rallying game on the market, anybody that likes driving fast and on the edge, should invest in this game.... Read review

...Colin Mcrae 2 is an excellent game for the playstion. The first Colin Mcrae Rally game was good but this 10 times better. The handling of the car is more life like and the grapics and sound effects are very realistic. There is also a good selection of cars including the essential Impreza, Focus and Lancer as well as a variety of different tracks and even the surfaces such as mud, gravel , tarmac and ice. But of course the best feature of this game is the detailing of the damage of the cars, the way the rear bumper drags along the ground before flying off and the way the boot bounces open. Can Colin Mcrae 3 be 10 times better again?... Read review

Disadvantages: Square Right Square Left gets a bit annoying, turn it off.

...Colin McRae rally is one of those games you will keep coming back to, if only to see how much quicker you can do the stages each time if you are a mad record collector like me. The graphics are great for a rally game of this type, and the level of difficulty just right. You can feel the adrenaline as you push the Focus down the tight twisty lanes of the forest stages, and your knuckles turn white as you manouvre the car around tight and twisty tarmac sections in Italy. For playability, only its sequel comes close, but this game is still a must for any rally fan and anyone who owns a Playstation.... Read review

Unfortunately for Grist, and for anyone who tries CM2, his calls are relayed in a voice so muffled they can't be understood. His voice projects so poorly it's as if Grist were intended to be nothing more than background noise. Fortunately, signs with arrows bent in the appropriate direction serve to sufficiently warn drivers of the severity of upcoming turns. ...Released nearly two years ago and now on Platinum, this superb rally game, complete with Colin McRae's official licence, is a game that takes you all around the world in one of many cars in different classes. The game is proof that the British development studios can produce games as good as Gran Turismo. There is a rally school where you can improve your driving skills, and become the master rally driver. The graphics are fantastic, they do not shock you as with Gran Turismo's graphics, but they give you a realistic driving experience. Sometimes this is crititicised by some, but in this case, it is a good thing. Buy it now it is definitely worth your #20!!!... Read review

Colin Mcrae was made so popular because of the thrills and realistic graphics and sounds of a real rrraaaaalllllyyyy. There are may different options with Colin Mcrae rally. There's obviously a rally mode where you race around different regions with different climates. You have the challenge of beating Colin Mcrae's track record of each course. There's also a training mode with Colin Mcrae's voice to help your driving skills and practice before entering the time trials. The great graphics and realistic sounds add great impact to this thrill game and with a shock control pad you can even feel every bump. You can also adjust the settings of your car before each race. ...I never played Colin McRae rally but im sure it not as good as this. Im only borrowing Colin McRae rally 2 from a mate. You don't need long to compleat this game but there's still alot to do like compleat all four stages of every rally with all the cars,win new cars,win new paint styles and win the knock out compertion. Before racing you can alter your car to perfection or just the way you like it. You can change just about anything (stiffness of shock,tyres, gear ratio and power out put)and thats not it. Between stages you will need to repair your car to make sure that it stay running. To repair your car you'll given a time of sixty seconds,each job has a time next to it. This says how long it takes. This is like money but after you done a job and think that you wish you haddent done that you can click on it a gain and it will undo... Read review
