...Joop! So good they named it with an exclamation mark. So great they made it appear almost arrogant in it's naming. A risk? Of course, this stuff is a cracking aftershave and fragrance. Joop is the brain child of German fashionist Wolfgang Joop, so no need to question where he got the name from...Other than that, it's not very exciting - since 1997, Joop's products have been sold through Joop GmbH, which is clearly visible on the side of the packaging, and here is there main male product - "Homme." The packaging is much of what you'd expect - quite non-descript yet alluring by making you want to know what it smells like, in a dark red/pink colour, shading to black the further you go up the packet. THE BEST AFTERSHAVE EVER!!!!!!

Advantages: THE SMELL! , nice colour, great on men & women, lasts ages.
Disadvantages: price, but all aftershave is expensive

...I'm a woman & I just fell in love with this aftershave when a male friend wore it (though I didn't fall in love with the friend!). It's such an unusal aftershave, completely different from any other mens fragrances (which are usually oceany/pine smells). Because I loved it so much I asked my husband to buy me some Joop for men for my brithday and luckily I got a huge bottle! I don't like the Joop for women much, it doesn't have that uniqueness and 'zing'. The smell is absolutely amazing and it's one that is attractive on women & men. It's neither masculine or feminine. It's hard to describe what it exactly smells like, it's sweet but not sickly. It's very exotic but not fruity or musky. ...We booked this hotel throuigh accorhotels.com and it certainly wasn't expensive for the class of hotel. We drove through France to Cologne and found the hotel easily, because it is on a main road. There is a public car park under the hotel which costs 10 euros per day or 1.50 euros per hour, so it could work out expensive if you took the car in and out. We found no reason to take the car anywhere, becauae verything we wanted was within a short walk. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who spoke extremely good english. She gave us the choice of a smoking or non smoking room, offered us a tourist map and asked if we needed any information about Cologne.
