...I'm always on the look out for ways to save a few pennies, as I was brought up that if you look after the pennies the pounds will look after themselves. So when I hunt out my basic toiletries, or even creating gift hampers, I'll always look for the cheapest place to buy them. For the last couple of years, one of my regular stops has been Savers, which is a funny sort of shop, that seems to be a cross-between the local chemist and Boots (only without a pharmacy). ...I spend a lot of my time visiting shops and assessing them (in a vain attempt not have to work in one) in order to fund the ever increasing costs of my education. (So far, its been relatively unsuccessful but if I had a penny for every time I had said ?Why am I doing this?? with regards my education then I?m sure I could fund it easily!) Soother & life saver in one!

...We bought a MAM Crystal Soother Saver before our baby was born, purely since we wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for when the time arrived, and thought we might get some use out of it at some point. However, we put the Soother Saver away when we bought it, and pretty much forgot about it for a long time .. big mistake. If I knew then what I know now, I could have saved myself weeks, if not months of restless nights. Colour Adapt Perfection

Advantages: Blends well, value for money,shades for everyone.
Disadvantages: re-application sometimes necssary

...I bought this product from a local Boots store for only £7.50. I had heard that this was one of the best foundations there is, especially for my fair skin tone. They were right. This line of foundation has an extensive range of shades from the ghostly white to the darkest brown, a colour for everyone. I managed to find my perfect shade quickly and efficiently without the need for testers. This foundation I found was easy to blend even upto my hairline and the small cracks around my nose. The visibilty was just enough and it's coverage beautiful. It was noticeable and because it had adapted itself to my skin, it gave my skin tone a look of perfection. Colour Adapt Foundation?

Advantages: good pump on bottle to aid application, long ;asting
Disadvantages: hard to blend, quite thick

...sufficient coverage. I also found it incredibly difficult to blend, I felt like it was obvious that it had been applied. Once applied, I did find that the colour was a little too light, however the next shade up was definitely too dark for me. The foundation did last a long time though, although I didn't completely achieve the avoidance from the greasy look once it starts wearing off that I'd hoped for. It was also easily removed. Overall, this product wasn't for me. It did feel good quality though so I wouldn't completely tell people to avoid it, it just didn't suit my skin tone and type....

Washing powder, liquid and general kitchen stuff, the second ailse contains bathroom cleaners, bleaches and disinfectants as well as airfresheners and other scented products. Also on this aisle you will find baby products, feminie hygine products, dieting aids such as slimfast,pain killers and vitamins. Behind the counter you will find an aray of perfumes and aftershaves, razors and batteries...

Savers - the shop to save money in

...That is Savers summed up in a nutshell. Don't expect to walk through the doors to be greeted with a cheery smile and to be pampered at various make up counters like in larger Boots stores, it ain't going to happen. In fact that is one of the qualms I have with this shop is the very limited stock of makeup they keep in store. The store has a good variety of brands for almost everything else except makeup where if I'm correct, only Rimmel is sold. It very often means a trip to another store such as Boots or Superdrug to purchase any makeup. Savers lacks the convenience other stores give as they don't have everthing under one roof! There is no pharmacy in store so again a visit to a chemist is required, this is definatley not a one stop shop! Also I have found in my local store that staff in Savers are not very knowledgable about...

Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation

Advantages: Evens skin tone, looks quite natural, a little goes a long way
Disadvantages: Caused me to break out, encouraged oilyness, didn't stay on amazingly long

She recommended Max Factor Colour Adapt, it was around £11 and she happily went into detail about it. It has no SPF but you can easily sort that out by using moisturiser first, it's quite a liquidy consistancy and you only need to use a pea sized amount, it sets almost powder like.
