Quality Combo for 2

Advantages: Reliable, Large square loadspace

...My girlfriend works in a florist’s and I regularly get roped in to help out with the deliveries whenever I’m available. The van they have for the task is a red, T registration Vauxhall Combo van. So because of my experience I have decided to write an opinion on it, and also I haven’t written one on a car for a while. The cab is based on the ever-popular Corsa that unfortunately is immediately apparent as soon as you see them. As with many small vans on the market at the moment the van looks like it has had a square metal box bolted onto the back of it, much like the Fiesta based Courier. The Combo is powered by the 1.9 Vauxhall diesel engine, although some of the earlier models may have the Isuzu power plant under the bonnet. Review of Vauxhall Combo

Combo Whizz

Advantages: Very versatile, easy to use, space saving
Disadvantages: not the best playback quality I've seen

...old video tape, and it was also very easy to label each newly recorded session on the DVD. The newly recorded DVD can be played back straight away to check that all is OK and any mistakes are easily deleted - I was using standard DVD -R disks so the deleted recordings still take up space on the DVD even though they will not be played back, to properly delete recordings and utilise the space freed up I would have to use DVD-RW disks. To make my new DVD playable on other players (including my PC) the DVD had to be finalised, this is a simple menu option which does not take very long but completes the dubbing process. I have to say that I am very pleased with my new combo VCR/DVD - it does everything I wanted it to do and I thought that the price I paid for it was reasonable. It takes up less space than the two machines it replaced...

Review of Toshiba D-VR16SB DVD Recorder/VCR Combo

A great combo to suit all needs

Advantages: its an all in one
Disadvantages: can be noisy at times!

...running too much at the time. I'm a multi-tasking fiend who likes the PC to do everything at once (its a bad habit I need to break.) Overall though I've had no problems with this drive and even though it has it's little faults, I would heartily recommend the drive to anyone on a budget. I managed to install this drive into one system and saved a bundle, which i passed onto the buyer and we were all happy bunnys. A great combo. I use it and I'm very picky about the PC's I build. ----- (There was no manual because installation is so easy and I havent had the need for tech support so i put the ratings box's to 'satisfactory' to avoid a bad rating.)...

Review of Samsung COMBO SM-352B

A weights bench that doesn't wobble!!!!! Atlast!!!!!!

Advantages: stable and versatile....did I mention stable (Its excellent)
Disadvantages: A bit costly, the weights you will need are expensive.

...I can tell you that this is where the York Olympic combo bench really stands out. It is extremely well made. There is no wobble when your doing a bench press which is the biggest problem I've had with cheaper benches (for one thing its incredibly dangerous) infact in any of the exercises I have done, it feels safe and secure. The frame itself is made out of steel (it is hollow steel but is extremely stable) and it weighs 70kg. This does mean that you will need to set the machine up where you are going to use it, because it is quite large and awkward to move if not. Its not a huge peice of kit but you will need a dedicated room to fit it in (It will not fit at the end of your bed unless its an extremely large room. How's This For A Combo?

Review of Alba TVD 3455

A good workhorse but you'll be glad to get out!

Advantages: cheap to run, repair and reasonably fast
Disadvantages: cab cramped, trim poor quality, gears close together

...I recently bought an old Vauxhall Combo 1994 - unlike Escorts, these don't seem to suffer the same problems with rust except on the "hump" above the cab, which is definitely good for MOTs. They're cheap and plentiful second hand, cost almost nothing to insure and certainly seem to last. Newer models have an Vauxhall Diesel engine 1.9 however mine has the Izuzu 1.7 - not that I am complaining, they're built like houses and are incredibly economical, unladen mine will happily to 60mpg while driving at 95mph on the motorway. For a diesel they are relatively quiet as well once you get cruising, although you certainly hear the noise when accelerating. The van is pretty unique among small vans in that it does not look too dated considering it is now 13 years old - because they are not rust-buckets like Escorts they tend to look a lot...

Review of Vauxhall Combo

Keep me Warm and Dry in Winter.

Advantages: Warm, waterproof, easy to use.
Disadvantages: None to me.

Cover me from head to toe.

Advantages: Covers whole horse, except legs.
Disadvantages: The very top of neck can get a bit wet when grazing.

...My horses are not in rugs yet and they are still out at night. I hope to keep them out until the end of October or just before. They may need thin rugs a bit before then, I have noticed that some horses have rugs on already in the rain. Mine will be clipped towards the end of October and will need stable rugs for the stable and for in the field I always use rugs with neck covers (unless too hot) and the Shires StormBreaker Combo is a great turnout rug with integral neck cover. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Winter can be a messy time with horses especially if raining. Review of Shires StormBreaker Combo - Winter Turnout

A truly classic amp

Advantages: Great sound, Very affordable
Disadvantages: Heavy, non remote +4 dbu effects loop

...I've been using a Peavey Classic 50 410 combo professionally for ten years now, and amidst hundreds of other higher priced amplifiers, I have to say that this may be the best all around tube combo ever built. The classic 50 has a character that is entirely it's own. The sound is clearly inspired by the vintage Fender amps of the late 50's and 60's, with a tonal clarity especially similar to an old blackface deluxe. However, unlike the old Fenders, the Peavey has oodles of clean headroom (single coil pickups will NOT overdrive the clean preamp side without a front end boost) and the overdriven sounds never get that bottom end "floppiness" that old Fenders always seem to have at high volumes. FIRE Extinguishers can kill . .

Advantages: Portable and compact
Disadvantages: None if used correctly.

ADVANTAGES:- This is dedicated equipment that stays on a bracket on the wall, is always there when needed, not a case of "where did I leave that extinguisher?" the equipment is reasonably cheap. It is small and compact. It gives peace of mind. It also complies with health & safety regulations. DISADVANTAGES:- The equipment may get stolen or vandalised. It has a "use by" date, after this time, some items must be discarded and replaced, whether they have been used or not.
