Or least, they were "not so nice" to my friends and I. In a way, I guess I can't blame them much. There were four people in our car. One with a Swedish passport, the other with a German, the other with a Russian, and me, with an American......Strange car group eh? We ended up having our entire car picked through and were interrogated ,in Italian ( Thank god my Swedish friend spoke fluent Italian and could translate). The Gate to Italy

Advantages: nice scenery & architecture, fine cuisine, great shops, very relaxing place
Disadvantages: nothing REALLY spectacular in a country full of attractions

Ferried Around a Lakeside Paradise

Advantages: Spectacular scenery, Italian food, great ferries, not overrun by tourists
Disadvantages: Attractions close smack in the middle of the day, credit cards rarely accepted

...Visiting Lake Como in the first week of June 2005 it was refreshing to find such a beautiful place not overrun with tourists. We stayed in a villa rental, Casa Pree, located in Rezzonico, a small town about 2 miles north of Menaggio on the western side of the lake. I'll review Casa Pree, the villa where we stayed, at the end of this article, first though here's a rundown of taking a vacation on Lake Como. Getting around the lake you have two choices: - Windy narrow lakeside roads - Ferries Driving Around Lake Como The roads we took around western lake Como were wide enough in places for only a truck and a car to pass within a few inches. ONCE UPON A TIME

Disadvantages: None I can think of

...Once upon a time there was a glacier that ran, in an upside down "Y" shape, through the Italian Alps down to less prominent mountains. When the glacier melted a beautiful lake shone in its place. Right at the bottom of one of the two arms of the "Y" (the left one, looking on the Italian map, in the Lombardy region) there is a town called Como. Last year, my husband and I, stopped in Como for two nights to break the long drive from London; we were going all the way down to Rome. In Switzerland, the motorway runs alongside lovely big lakes, the scenery was certainly more than beautiful but soon after crossing the border into Italy, suddenly we were on a high ground and started to descend towards Como. From that hight the lake is like a very wide river with deep meanders that appears and disappears behind mountains that fall steeply into...

JLo - A real latin talent

Advantages: Shos growth in her voice, experimenting with different sounds.
Disadvantages: Maybe a little to slow for other Jlo fans.

...I recently purchased this album after buying tickets to see her and Marc Anthony in Concert in Miami. I have all of her old albums and felt the need to listen to her spanish material. 1) Que Hiciste - The most upbeat track of the album is a great start to this story of 'How a woman loves/ Como Ama Una Mujer'. It has a sort of pop rock feel to it with a catchy chorus and slow mid-tempo verses. 2) Me Haces Faltas - Her second single and a great choice. Great lyrics and this song shows off the emotional side to her voice. She really tries to go for the high notes and she succeeds. 3) Como Ama Una Mujer - A chilled track which you can listen to in the evening whilst contemplating life. I listened to this song a lot on my holiday whilst looking out to the ocean and it really sets the mood. 4) Te Voy A Querer - I really like...

The Perfect Dozen!

...of course, lavishly and now the gang are short by about half. So, what do you do when you need to pay back some money to basically save your life, you conduct another heist of course. This heist takes them to foreign lands and I really enjoyed the change of scenery. The film movie to Europe and they show some gorgeous places, like Amsterdam, Paris and Rome as well as Lake Como in Italy which is just beautiful. I assume this was partly used because George Clooney who plays Danny Ocean has a house in Lake Como and you can just imagine him spending time here in real life. This time the gang are followed by a Europol Detective called Isabel Lahiri. It helps that she's beautiful and can infiltrate the gang in her own special way. ...The first time I came across the Geomag range was in 2002 on a holiday in Italy. At the time my son was six, we were into the second week of our holiday and Jack still had euros burning a whole in his pocket. On a trip to Como he found a lovely toyshop and there on the shelf he spotted boxes of a new toy to him - Geomag. He was immediately fascinated by the new toy, and not only him. We were staying at a hotel on Lake Como, and as he sat in the lounge playing with it among the many people showing an interest in it were four separate teachers and they were intrigued with the toy and said what a fantastic tool it would be for teaching maths and geometry at their primary schools. WHAT IS IT? Geomag is the actually a brand name of the toy that was first produced in 1998, in 2005 Toy of the Year by the Toy Industry...
