HP LaserJet 2100
Review of HP LaserJet 2100 by
matt_fantastic
Advantages: Reliable, Fast
Disadvantages: Discontinued now
...Although now discontinued, this review may be helpful to anyone looking to pick up a quality HP laser printer on Ebay or similar.
The HP LaserJet 2100 printer will satisfy anyone who is looking for the very highest in print quality and has an eye for good value ! True 1200 x 1200 dpi provides high quality laser output, at 10 pages per minute, not super fast, but more than enough for what I need.
Installation was an absolute doddle, although not USB Plug & Play, being an older printer, Windows XP knows exactly what to do with all necessary drivers included ! It's connected to my network with a mini print server (not reviewed here) on the parallel port via ethernet cable, although you can, of course connect direct to th eparallel port on your PC.
Load the paper tray with your paper (upto 300 sheets, a whole ream fits...

HP Laserjet 2200 DTN
Review of HP LaserJet 2200 by
theloveablerogue
Advantages: Run of the mill workhorse.
Disadvantages: HP Service Department.
...the printer, but it also allows for the printer to be configured such that Windows applications can print to different types of paper based upon user settings.
As my 2200 does a lot of invoice printing, the 500 sheet tray is filled with headed paper, while the smaller tray is used for printing to blank paper.
The only issues I have had with this printer have been a couple of paper jams, in all honesty due to the quality of the paper, and that the HP service department returned the printer to me with what appeared to be an unsatisfactory fix after a service fault occured. The printer is currently with them for the second time this month.
In the past year the HP has printed almost 36,000 sheets and used 4 print/toner cartridges. At a cost of about 60 pounds each, this works out to be 0.667 pence per sheet in toner costs.
To conclude...

HP Compaq nx6110 - Good Value Slim Laptop
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nx6110 - Celeron M 360J 1.4 GHz - 15" TFT by
fordyman
Advantages: Good list of features, slim, light and good value!
Disadvantages: No DVD-RW drive, no floppy, no volume keys, little software included.
...an 10/100 Mbps ethernet port. This works well and is conveniantly located on the left side of the laptop. A 56k modem is also included on the laptop, which works just like any other laptop modem.
The battery - The battery is much better than other laptops I have used. How long it lasts depends on what you are doing. Factors such as LCD brightness, wireless, drive activity and CPU strain affect the life of the battery but not majorly. The suggested battery life is 4.25 hours. I realistically get around 2.5-3 hours use.
The software - This laptop comes pre-installed with Windows XP. The only real other software included is Norton AntiVirus 2005 trial (pointless) ,Record Now (cd writing software) and Win DVD. I feel they should have included more software and given a years protection of Antivirus to accompany the warranty.

THE TABLET EVERYONE'S TALKING ABOUT
Review of HP Compaq Tablet PC TC1100 - Pentium M 1 GHz - 10.4" TFT by
jellybean11
Advantages: speed, has speakers, compact, solidly built, good battery life, USB ports
Disadvantages: keypad, no power brightness ratio
.... It has 2 USB 2.0 ports I mentioned earlier, as well as wireless support, an IR port, VGA output, and a Fast Ethernet port.
The wireless support that this tablet PC offers increases user convenience because it supports both Bluetooth and 802.11 a/b/g Wi-fi networks. This means that if you have a wireless router at home you can access that network easily with this Tablet PC. Or if you have a Bluetooth device then you can communicate or synchronize with it using the Tablet PC. This makes moving from the office to home a lot easier.
Wireless/Wired Support Specifications:
• Type III Mini PCI integrated WLAN - 802.11b WLAN and 802.11a/b/(g when available) WLAN options
• Integrated Bluetooth
• Two (2) USB 2.0, RJ-45 (NIC), RJ-11 (Modem), VGA, IR port
• Integrated 56K (V.92) modem and 10/100 NIC

Not too Compaq-ct notebook
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nx9010 - P4 2.8 GHz - 15" TFT by
droniee
Advantages: Reasonable priced, robust, good specifications
Disadvantages: Heavy, side buttons spoil easily, slow start up
...x keyboard / mouse - generic - 6 pin mini-DIN (PS/2 style),
1 x display / video - S-video output,
1 x display / video - VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15),
1 x IEEE 1394 (FireWire),
1 x audio - line-out/headphones - mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm,
1 x microphone - input - mini-phone 3.5mm,
3 x Hi-Speed USB - 4 PIN USB Type A,
1 x modem - phone line - RJ-11
1 x network - Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX - RJ-45 .
Overall, although i've faced quite a few problems with the laptop, i'm still glad to have bought it as it was reasonably priced for a laptop of its kind. It's performance can be compared to a desktop. I would recommend potential buyers to buy this but if you could afford a higher budget, this would not necessarily be the best choice....

HP Wakey Wakey
Review of HP All Day Breakfast by
kirstymack80
Advantages: meal in a tin, easy to open, cheap
Disadvantages: fatty bacon, bone
...My Dad loves this. It’s a meat fest in a can and KirstyM has tried this before and has decided to review it.
* So what is it? *
It's made by HP and it’s in a 415g tin. It has a flip top lid, meaning that it’s great if you’re ‘on the move’, camping or you find yourself without a can opener at any time! In the tin there are baked beans, bacon, 2 pork sausages, button mushrooms (roughly 3) and 2 scotch eggs, or as listed on the tin ‘pork and egg nuggets with biscuit’.
* Serving *
A tin serves 2 people. We have ours on toast to make it a bit more filling.
* Cooking *
This can be heated on the hob. To do this, simply pour the contents into a saucepan and heat gently, being careful not to let it boil. Serve.
In the microwave – on 650W. Empty contents into microwaveable container, cover but ensure...
