Compaq used to take care to design a machine without the frills, which would meet most standard business use. Costs were also kept low, and this made for a generally acceptable business unit. The D5xx range has never been targeted at the home user, and probably never will. Unfortunately, this new machine fails to inspire confidence. Overall, there is nothing wrong with the technologies and speed of the unit. My real issues are around the casing and build quality. Firstly, it is REALLY heavy. ...for parts and labour is offered as standard (This beats most suppliers 1 year warranty!) Conclusion: Personally i am a huge fan of compaq machines, they are of an exceptional quality. And quite clever. Many including the one have custom made PSU's etc... I found these pc's very easy to set up. And would reccoment them to anyone wanting a PC to use in an office environment. It connects to a transformer that then leads to the mains socket all in all there are two connecting wires for this lap top and one for connecting to the internet.
