...and the multiport on the lid surface contributes to its square and awkward shaped attributes. Saying that the battery life is very good at around 3 hours but I have noticed it diminish over the recent months. If I had paid over the £2000 RRP I would have been disappointed but picking it up cheap it has a very good specification which is actually aimed at a business professional. USB 2.0 was new at the time that this computer was released and the three shortcut buttons are also very useful just below the screen. I have never had any problems with this computer and the Radeon Graphics card is excellent combined with the 15" XGA screen. If you don't mind sacrificing weight for features and reliability then this is a great computer for you!...

At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop. The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop. Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz - 13.3" TFT - excellent!

Advantages: portable, runs very fast, large storage with TimeMachine application for backing up your work
Disadvantages: some problems with using Safari, though this may be due to the wireless network I am using, costs!

...In my opinion, the Apple Macbook Pro is an ideal laptop. As a student, I find that it meets all my needs - I can store plenty of music, photos etc even though I bought the cheapest one with the smallest memory. The system operates very fast and comes with both Firefox and Safari. My only criticism is that it only comes with textedit and so you have to buy iWorks for around £65. However, despite this it is good value for money and I don't regret spending my 2 years worth of part-time earnings on it! It has everything I want from a laptop and is ideally portable and good for watching films despite the smaller screen size. Another feature I particularly liked was that it has a light up keyboard for when you are in darker rooms - you can adjust the brightness of the keyboard the same as you can for the screen. HP EliteBook Mobile Workstation 8530w

Advantages: feels really sturdy.
Disadvantages: the steel may look good but picks up prints way too easily

...on the screen is good and after downloading 4od and playing videos off you tube and other sites I never once had to wait for the videos to load, they begun immediately and played all the way through without pauses which is really good. The battery life is really letting this one down at the moment, it will only last you around one and a half hours and this seemed more like one with real hard use of it. Im not sure why this is so bad to say it has an 8cell battery however its probably to do with the Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 / 2.53 Ghz and 2 gb of ram running it down a bit. As I just mentioned the 2gb of ram really does make this machine run fast. And if the 2 gb isn't enough for you (although I cant see this amount ever not being big enough for you), then you can easily upgrade your ram to 8gb. This will just make everything even faster than it...
