...Apple mac-books, where to start... ok, so to start, it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are. this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop. The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop. Advantages: CHEAP, well styled, good for travelling

As i got this laptop for about 80 pounds i decided to upgrade it with some more RAM at the moment im running an Intel Pentium III m and Microsoft XP with 767mb RAM. the total cost of this laptop with upgrades was 110 pounds, considering this has nearly 1GB of RAM it is perfect for browsing the web and is very well at doing basic functions, Browsing the web is very fast and with the right browser and settings multi tasking is very good considering it has a singular core. ...In my opinion, the Apple Macbook Pro is an ideal laptop. As a student, I find that it meets all my needs - I can store plenty of music, photos etc even though I bought the cheapest one with the smallest memory. The system operates very fast and comes with both Firefox and Safari. My only criticism is that it only comes with textedit and so you have to buy iWorks for around £65. However, despite this it is good value for money and I don't regret spending my 2 years worth of part-time earnings on it! It has everything I want from a laptop and is ideally portable and good for watching films despite the smaller screen size. Another feature I particularly liked was that it has a light up keyboard for when you are in darker rooms - you can adjust the brightness of the keyboard the same as you can for the screen. What a break that turned out to be. First things first - the screen is superb with top laptop resolution rather than the crappy max of 1280xnothing offered by most other models out there even today. 1400 x 1050 gives too small a font some might say. Load of rubbish. This screen has the best viewability I've ever witnessed by which I mean that it's easily readable from any angle in front of the screen. No, it's not widescreen but don't let that put you off. Battery time is a solid 2-3 hours depending on activity and even after 4 years of the same battery it's still the same.
