If I could type as quick as this prints...........
Review of HP LaserJet 1320 by dyls

Advantages: Value for money
Disadvantages: No network port

...It now seems harder and harder to find that printer that is value for money with price of the unit cost of the toner if it needs a separate fuser element to the plain old cost per page or (pp). HP are well known for making good quality printers and for good reason as they are normally have the reliability, economy and quality with its range of office laser printers. The new LaserJet 1320 comes in a smart white and grey case. At 10.5Kg, its not going to be blown of the desk with a gust, the high build-quality is of a standard you would expect from HP. The printer pushes out pages at a fast speed, It's quoted rate is 22 pages per minute, Print quality is crisp and black. The paper tray holds around 200 sheets of A4 paper at a time. Cartridges cost about £50, so the pp price costs in the about 2p. However, as HP points out, its... Read review

Not bad
Review of HP Vectra VLi8 - PII 400 MHz by pault

Advantages: good system
Disadvantages: not very good monitors

...HP is a very good brand, so a director of my company decided to by some of them. Our company uses HP's products for 2 years and we see that we didn't mistake choosng HP Vectra. But in our computers after 2 years of using we have to repare monitors. Personally me use HP Vectra VL with P2-233 Mh in my office. Thou there are many faster processors, but this one is not worth than modern computers. There is a coupl words about design - it is very good, so there are no problems to put it in any place. I hope that HP will keep constructing so nice computers and we will use them for many years.... Read review

High quality and sturdyness from HP
Review of HP OmniBook 3000 - P MMX 233 MHz - 13.3" TFT by fjuk

Advantages: Sturdy, many features
Disadvantages: (nearly) outdated, powersaving options

...My Omnibook 3000 has the following quickspecs: Pentium 200 MMX, 512 k. 80 MB EDO RAM. 3,2 GB HDD. 13,3'' TFT. Ports: ECP, Parallel, D-SUB, IrDA, PS/2, USB, 32-BIT Cardbus. Audio (Crystal): line ind, microphone, speaker out. The PC has everything that you'll find in a PII-system - exept a PII processor. In other words it has been state-of-the-art, when the PC was launched. That means that today the only new thing you might want to have is a firewire-port, and who needs that, after all? The PC itself is as far as sturdiness is conserned probably the best HP ever made - The only thing I can compare it to is a IBM PC, which everyone knows is the highest quality. The 13,3'' screen makes 1024x768 resolution possible at 16 bit colors (NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD, 2 MB). It is quite bright, so you might want to install a non-HP driver, which... Read review

Compaq Armada 1530D - Old but cheap as chips
Review of Compaq Armada 1530 - P MMX 133 MHz - 12.1" CSTN by gusgusrule

Advantages: cheap to buy used, robust
Disadvantages: Heavy, slow, small hard drive

...The compaq Armada 1530D laptops have been out about 5 or 6 years now, first entering the market back in 1998, so its worth considering this throughout my review; this laptop is nothing compared with todays machines. I bought the laptop used about one year ago, I needed a simple machine for word processing at home, and decided it would be nice to socialise whil working (now I can sit in front of the telly with the family while I do my work) At £200 it was a bargain, the truth is they are even cheaper on ebay now, I've seen them go as little as £100. But of course, your not going to get an amazing machine for under £200. These laptops really are basic and have minimum specs. The speed is just 16MB RAM, which is minute compared with the speeds of 512MB RAM in the latest laptops. The harddrive is less than 2GB in size, incredibly small... Read review

HP 350 ink cartridge
Review of HP 350 - print cartridge by Chuckles1987

Advantages: quality
Disadvantages: price

...of the company. Whereas HP is a brand you can trust. The HP 350 ink cartridge is ideal for business or home users who want professional quality printouts. HP say you can get around 200 pages of printing from the product t a lot depends on your printer and the quality you print at. In conclusion you could take a gamble on a cheaper ink cartridge but HP is a brand you can trust and this product is of the high quality you would expect.... Read review

sturdy
Review of HP Omnibook 5700 by mesq

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...I got the hp omnibook about a month ago, to take to university in the autumn. All I really wanted was something to run MS Office, the Net and possibly Solitaire - and for the specs of the machine (P166 MMX, 32Mb etc.) I didn't expect much else. What surprised me was that firstly it starts up and shuts down at about twice the speed of my Celeron 64Mb pc. What else surprised me was that the screen is excellent - especially for a machine this old. All the colors are very crisp and bright, and there is no blurring when the mouse is moved, like you would get with the new HPA screens. It also runs most of the older (budget) games out at the moment. The only gripe would be that the sound card is a bit tinny and the graphics ram a bit weedy. Apart from that, superb.... Read review

compaq systems
Review of Compaq Presario 7477 - K6-2 by jonlell

Advantages: convenient all-in-one appearence
Disadvantages: limited upgradability.

...i pesonally have found package systems such as compaqs to be very anti-upgradable. they are supplied in cases that are tricky to remove and the internal layout of the system is very confused. An example of this is the powerpaq series some of which even have integrated graphics and sound, even in this modern age, making it very tricky to upgrade from the sub standard intel integrated graphics and audio. the systems also appeared to be sluggish at best when playing modern power hungry games such as unreal tournament ona system spec-ed at a prety powerful pIII 750mhz. It is true to say that compaq have vast experience from being around for a vast amount of time, but they appear to continue to make systems for low end home users who have little interest in upgrading the system at a later date. as for customer support they do pick themselves... HP Laserjet 1200
Review of HP LaserJet 1200 by dianeo3

Advantages: Reliable and compact
Disadvantages: Noisy

...I've had this printer for over two years and I've never had a problem with it- not even a paper jam! It was easy to install and is quite compact for a laserjet (415mmx486mmx253mm). The driver is included in Windows XP and it is basically just a matter of connecting the printer. I ordered one for work first so that I could try it out before buying one for home. I have always been a fan of HP printers so I didn't look at any other brands. I chose this HP model because it was cheap enough for a home user and looked better than the other models. I don't use it for printing pictures as it's only monochrome but the resolution and speed are more than adequate for printing documents. spread sheets and web pages. On the downside, it is a bit noisy so I've put it to one side and under the desk. The cartridges are slightly more expensive than... Read review

Schools Love Them
Review of Compaq Professional AP200 - PIII 500 MHz by ReviewDude

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Nasty, Slow, Old

...might like to have the tower on their desks so they can access the floppy drive easy and also maybe burn a CD. While you work you hear something that sounds like a hamster on it's wheel. Well in fact it's the poor 14gb hard drive. So this was no good for business use but what about home use? Maybe you want a computer for your kids bedroom which you can purchase cheaply. Well I still think it's rubbish even for that. The limited hard drive space will be filled up in no time if they decided to install a game or two. The graphics card is just too out of date and you really need a more up to date operating system. Your computers security will be a lot higher because Windows XP seems to have more bugs the a bug zapper... Why do Compaq like put their name in big red letters? It really bugs me when a computer changes the design of a tower just... Read review
