...PC Navigator 8 with UK, Ireland and Europe maps. I highly recommend this product. Easy to install and use. Simple user menu's, Find and Navigate, Address, Postcode or Places of Interest, help to find your way to your destinations. Also has Speed camera locations which will need updating from time to time. Voice assistant is pleasent to listen to. I have this installed on my EEE PC (701 Windows) coupled with a GPS receiver (USB). Works seamlessly. I would like the speed camera feature to warn me of up coming cameras, it changes from white (no cameras) to amber (Camera detected 500 yds) and red with an alarm when you pass the camera. Maybe I need to check the setting again to see if I have set this feature up correctly. Because I am using the EE PC I needed to find a suitable mounting for the PC, and I tested the available mounts...

ASUS EEE PC 701 - Small but perfectly formed

...This review looks at one of many netbooks to be released in the UK over the past few months, ASUS's EEE PC 701 SD. The model I have is fitted with Windows XP and has an 8Gb hard drive. I bought it on special offer for £155. Appearance The 701SD is absolutely tiny. It weighs around a kilogram and is roughly the same size as a hardback reading book when in the closed position. It comes in a neat box along with instructions,a mains charger, a protective case and a system CD. It has a 7 inch screen which is absolutely tiny but is still perfectly functional. I needed to set-up a network to use the internet but the optical drive/CDrom would not read the software disc. The mesh Xtreme Pro I7-920 did eventually read the disc but it took over 2 hours of continual attempts. At this point I thought it was the disc that was at fault. ASUS Eee PC 701

It also comes with a carry case. Over all, it does exactly what I want it to do....surf/email on the sofa. I'm not looking to have a high end games machine, nor do I need a massive HDD. The fact that it boots up in half a minute means that by the time you sit down it switched and picked up the wireless network (yep, its got wi-fi aswell). 99.9% of websites I've checked (amazon, ebay etc) all look fine on the screen. Yes it is a small screen, and at times there is some horizontal scrolling, but on the whole it is okay...
