...Confidence was the exact feeling i had when i saw this and parted with three of my english pounds to the lady behind the counter at Blockbuster a few years ago. Although the film had fallen under my movie radar, i saw the cast and thought that this film at least would be good enough to keep me entertained for the evening, it turned out to be more than that. A rental turned into a purchase, a purchase turned into me lending it out which led to other purchasing and talking about it. Any film that can pull off some good twists is worth watching in my opinion, this is definately one of them. Confidence: Grifters galore

Advantages: Standard fare for genre, good plot twists at end, solid performances all round
Disadvantages: Standard fare for genre, little depth, nothing 'special'

...Confidence (James Foley, 2003) is a slick crime thriller in the style of the Ocean's Eleven films or The Thomas Crown Affair. It takes a slightly 'grittier' look at the subject, but still contains enough plot twists to keep you guessing (and give you a sore head on the first few watches!) and manages to be an enjoyable grifter romp. Story: The story follows a group of confidence tricksters, or grifters as they are called in the film, as they try to avoid getting arrested, or worse, killed, for stealing money off the wrong person. The film begins with a view of the main character lying on a road, dead, and tracks his life for the previous few weeks leading up to his death. ...Gina Ford, contented little baby book. This book is aimed at parents who want to have a routine in their child's life. It's a very strict routine too so isn't suited to all parents. Gina Ford is known for her very strict views on parenting which to some can seem very harsh or 'unnatural' but many follow her advice given in her books and rate her highly. Some of Gina's techniques include control crying and feeding when it suits the mother and not the baby. Control crying suggests that babies are not harmed by leaving them crying until they fall asleep. A lot of people don't like to do this because it makes them feel guilty but Gina Ford insists that it is good for children to learn to fall asleep this way. No confidence in this film

Advantages: Ed burns is tasty
Disadvantages: everything else

...this role. Confidence was trying to be something it wasnt and it tried really hard to be that something. I also think that they wasted the talents of Dustin Hoffman and Andy Garcia who are excellent actors in their own right. Dustin Hoffman's character was odd and quite creepy and Andy Garcia is introduced into the film quite late on and looked so grubby I didn't even realise it was him until a bit later in the film. Rachel Weisz is ok in this film but she has such a terrible accent that you wish they had just mae her keep her British accent. She doesn't seem to have the sassiness or the style that is required and quite frankly she seemed a lot better in "The Mummy". There have been too many films that have done this type of con with a twist such as "The Usual Suspects", "Reservoir Dogs", "The Grifters" and "House Of Games...

Confide In Kylie

Advantages: Two great albums combined
Disadvantages: The absence of the other 5 brilliant songs

...Kind Of Bliss, and its far more euphoric and has a belter of a lyric written by Kylie. Dreams is dull as all hell and spawned the original title of the 1997 album Impossible Princess. Its as drab a ballad as you've ever heard, but at least has a good grasp of irony. Jump is another trippy slow burning track that doesn't exactly grab you by the throat but more slithers at your taste buds and will eventually pull you in. Drunk is another dance track with attitude as Kylie muses about not being happy until she's drunk and you take all of her. An enticing offer, its another of the most interesting tracks on the album. The album finishes off with the title track, the utterly engaging epic that is Confide In Me. This is the best single Kylie Minogue has ever released, an 8 minute sexy beast that stands head and shoulders above...

I can't begin to describe in words the immense gratitude I give to Gina Ford for her knowledge, experience and advice she gives in this book. I have two children and have used it in the explicit sense with my first child and more loosely with my second and both times I have had very 'contented' babies. This book saved my sanity

Advantages: Good advice, helped me enjoy my baby
Disadvantages: Rather strict sounding, but you don't have to follow it to the letter

...My experience: Firstly, I'd stress the point that this book isn't for everyone, but I would like to say that it saved my sanity. On having a baby I tried to take the relaxed approach, feeding on demand and basically letting my baby do whatever he seeemed to want. However, by the time he was 4 months he was feeding every hour in the night and most of the day too. I gave Gina's advice a try and for me it worked. By sorting out my baby's sleeping and feeding routines, my life got much easier and my baby did become much more happy and 'contented'. I noticed a marked improvement in the day time almost immediately, and by 4 weeks of following the routine, my baby was sleeping through the night. I have read other reviews, where people say the routines are cruel etc. At no point does Gina tell you to leave your baby to cry, in fact...

I try a few different toothpastes and have tried many Colgate brands before and have usually been impressed. I've managed to try most of the minty ones, the 3 in 1 tubes and the latest herbal edition! Now I'm onto my latest tube which is 'COLGATE FRESH CONFIDENCE' It seemed a little different and very 'FRESH' at first sight so I went for it! Packaging and Applicating: I usually buy the squeezy tubes of toothpaste but opted for the standing tube this time. The tube is 100ml and a reasonable size. (Just like all simalar toothpastes!) Cool Confidence or Lack of Confidence

...A few weeks ago, I purchased two Avon deodorants on offer at $1.99 per 2.6 fluid ounce bottle. from our local representative. One of them was Cool Confidence, which I ordered specifically for after-shaving use. My skin tends to be especially sensitive then, and scented roll-ons tend to irritate. I've used this product on several occasions and have found it to be most effective as far as not causing breakouts or irritations. Unfortunately, I do not think it is effective against stopping wetness from perspiration. This deodorant is presented in a white plastic bottle with a grass-green colored top and all writing printed in the same grass-green color. The roll-on ball is rather small, so it takes some time to apply the deodorant to the entire underarm area. The deodorant itself is non-stinging and dries relatively quickly...
