...It has taken a long time for me to get here but I have finally managed to get myself an wireless network. It took lots of investigation and searching for the right price but I have ended up with a D-LINK 624 802.11g/b wireless router. One of the best things about it is that when you have an compatible Dlink adapter you can have speeds up to 108MB instead of the standard 54MB. Mind you at one stage I was begining to wonder if I was get the network up and going at all. (And I think myself pretty computer literate). I had hunted around for a long time and finally managed to win an auction off e-bay for this bit of kit. I couldn't wait for it to arrive. When it did I went upstairs and gleefully opened the packet and connected it to my desktop. It should be noted that this device needs to be connected to another computer that has internet... ...I needed to change a name on a booking I had made a few months back, I had to call customer services in order to do this, after 15 minutes on hold, to horrific music which has given me a huge headache I must add, I got through, when I asked about changing the name on the booking I found that prices had been conflicting to internet 'phone price' why I dont know.. a huge con all around! the I was asked did I want to pay for bagage allowance for the new passanger!!!!!! what the hell is that all about! The woman on the other end was extremely rude, there was no help or explaination at all, so I asked her to leave it, I would look into it and call back... then I tried to call back another 20 mintues on hold... then when I got through the girl on the other end had managed to cutt me off half way though.. pathetic, service is very poor... ...Bought a Packard Bell with DVD from the Glasgow branch. There was a special offer for that weekend only, with a bottom of the range scanner and printer bundled in. The first problem was with the scanner, which I gather was old stock and would not interface with Windows 98. After a trip to the store and numerous letters to Head Office, they agreed to an exchange. Next problem was the fact that the DVD would not play a film due to a zone conflict. After many phone calls and letters their technical dept. admitted they had an unresolved problem and had a team of engineers working on this problem and that as a priority case I would be notified as soon as they came up with a solution. Since this was some seven or eight months ago I assume that the solution was never found and that some where in the Mastercare organization someone is beavering... Read review

Advantages: Gory ending to an excellent trilogy
Disadvantages: Not too many new angles for being ate by a rat !!

...This may have been written 5 years after the previous instalment of the trilogy but it loses none of its ability to shock. I did initially read it with some trepidation as I thought there was no way Herbert could take the story any further but as normal I was wrong, he manages to twist yet another excellent novel out of the rats saga. This time though its in the aftermath of a nuclear conflict when mankind is at his weakest and the Rats take full advantage. The story itself is practically non stop action with Herbert throwing in scene after scene of gory mutilations ….. and you thought youd seen it all in The Rats and The Lair !!! There is a thread of a story running through it which culminates in a final chase scene where the rats show off their ability to swim no less !! All in all a pretty good read although the actual...
