Advantages: Amazing graphics and gaming capabilities, looks great
Disadvantages: quite a high price

...I don't need to write much to review the PS3 (although I will...), it can be described with one word : amazing Ill be reviewing the 60gb version that is available in the UK. (the technical specification, from the US sony website, are at the bottom) The console looks superb, it is quite large but has a shiny black body and a sleek silver finish, the body is curved slightly and really looks good. However the body does easily attract dust and scratches so you will need to clean it regularly. The "PS" logo on the front (above the disk drive) can be rotated so that t is the right way up whether the console is horizontal or vertical. The disk slot is much better than the old sliding trays on the PS2's, makes the console look better and probably won't break as easily! The on/off and eject buttons are touch sensitive and this takes a while...

PS3 - 'A console for the future'

Advantages: Media capabilities, Huge Potential, Amazing Operating System, In-built wifi, Blu Ray
Disadvantages: Playstation network needs improving, Needs more extra Features, Games, Price

...I purchased the PS3 on launch day. The amount of games for the console at launch was minimum, that was expected but I did expect a few blockbuster titles to go with the launch. The PS3 console uses Bluetooth for all its controllers and has in-built wifi, which is very handy and is a lot better than buying accessories to enable the wifi like its rivals. The bluetooth system for the controllers is excellent, it has a great range and never struggles with any disconnection problems. The PS3 as a system starts up and loads you straight up into its Xross media bar or 'XMB' for short. The XMB is, in my opinion, an excellent way of navigating around the PS3 and with recent system updates - it has made it a joy to use. Sony PS3 Got to be the best console

Advantages: Amazing game play & amazing blue ray dvd player
Disadvantages: You become a PS3 widow if you buy one for your partner

...After a lot of thinking I finally decided to purchase a PS3 of my other half birthday, he used to play on his PS2 all the time but was getting to the stage where getting any good new games was a nightmare. Needless to say this games console does not dissappoint, other members of my family have the Wii & Xbox personally I think the games console leaves them far behind. Im not one for going on about the spec of a machine (dont know enough about that side of it) so ill just tell you what I think of the console itself. The gameplay which is what most people purchase this item for is amazing, I bought him Medal Of Honour Airborne to go with this & its so lifelike its untrue & its def worth purchasing a hi def cable for it (usually about £10), this makes the games even more spetacular. Clock Tower 3 for ps2

Advantages: scary,intense but fun and gets your brains working.
Disadvantages: a little difficult for first timers playing this game but average

...Bought a 60GB PS3 from EBAY a couple of months ago as you are not able to find the 60 GB version in stores anymore only the 40GB is sold in stores now. PS3 in general is an amazing console with some games provide cutting edge graphics you wont believe, the sound is truly amazing if you connect it to a surround system. ...fine, nothing wrong with it as far as i can hear. Controller - Comfortable, not as good as an XBOX360 controller but then, what is? Games - Just about every genre of game is on the PS2, there are masses of games to be played and they are all fairly cheap nowadays. Also plays some of the greatest games of all time like Final Fantasy, Grand theft auto and Need for Speed. Extras - It uses memory cards so you can use your save game on other people playstation - Until recently I found out that the removable plastic section at the back is for a harddrive (this is not in the slimline version) - It can be connected to the internet (for multiplater etc) - It can use a range of accesories, eyetoy (camera), steering wheels, guns, microphones, skateboards and even chainsaws. Even though it is 'out of date' it still have hours of play value....

PS2 carry case review

Advantages: Umm.. none
Disadvantages: Everything

...Unfortunately i have to give this product my very first "Very poor", as i bought one and was deeply inimpressed with the slow reactions and unhelpful assistance of the software manufactures. The Logic 3 PS2 Carry Kit barely fitted my PS2 slimeline, and when i did finnally push it in and ajust it so the zip would close, the carry kit did not protect the PS2 much, as one of the zips inside it scratched the edges of my PS2. The manufactures when i reported this to them said that it was my fault and that the carry case works for most slimeline PS2's. (???) They refused to replace the carry kit or the PS2 and i was left with the thing that is now in the rubbish bins. I reccomend this item to everyone that wants to break their PS2 or anybody that likes to waste money. This item has won my "Worst product ever" award of 2008!!...

Slimline Playstation 2

...The ps2 is a great console although it is almost10 years old. It has alot of features that anyone can use with ease. On it you can watch Movies, Play games and also play online with people around the world providing that you can internet access on it. there are a wide variety of games available for it and they are also quite cheap. The playstation itself can come quite cheap with prices starting at £40 in some shops. You might also want to get some accessories for it such as the vertical stand, the eyetoy camera and the DVD remote if you want one. The only bad points about the playstation i would say are the fact that it is quite fragile and would break easily....

...Sony's next generation console was well worth the wait from the Playstation 2. I have owned a PS3 for just over a year now and I have so far had no problems with it and to see the quality of the graphics of any game was incredible, and it was such a step up from the PS2. Although Sony was late in releasing the PS3, it was worth the wait in the end, although I did consider getting an Xbox 360 instead. The Xbox 360 came out much earlier and allowed microsoft the oppurtunity to get more Xbox 360's out there before the PS3 was even out. However there have been many reported problems with the Xbox 360, such as the console freezing, so I thought I best play it safe and instead get the PS3 when I had some money. The PS3 also offers more benefits over the Xbox 360, like free online play and less reported faults with the console in general...
