...of the movie he was more than believable as a regular, run of the mill, average Joe. Then it was quite a trip, to see him evolve from a nerd Neo, to the action packed Neo that he ultimately became. At first, his deadpan delivery in movies made me not like him. After seeing him however in movies such as "The Matrix", "Something's Gotta Give", "Hardball" and now in "Constantine", I think he is beginning to grow on me. Now that we have considered what I think about him personally. Let me tell you of why I like him in Constantine. The Movie Keanu Reeves plays the main character (John Constantine) a chain smoking, hard drinking and desolate exorcist, in this adaptation of a DC/Vertigo comic book named Hellblazer. Plays an exorcist whose specialty is dealing with the occult. (Evil Spirits. Demons...Hell Monsters..etc.) Constantine at one point...

Constantine: Man or... Man?

Advantages: Keanu Reeves, some rather nifty effects and of course that major factor of anti smoking
Disadvantages: Could use less Rachel Weisz, and rather more ingenuity.

...Constantine was always lurking on my radar, just asking for me to buy and watch it, so giving into my inner Dark Side, I did just that, and certainly if you like your movies with just a dash of difference, and a sprinkling of spice, you've come to the right shop. I'll outline the basic plot without much delay. It's pretty formulaic, in a rather comic book way (not surprising as this was was based off a series of rather good graphic novels,) you know the basic theme, good guy attempts suicide, gets brought back, and as a way to try and work off his punishment (going to Hell for eternity) has to kill many hundreds of demons. Add a plot about twin sisters, one of whom is a pyschic and you're pretty much on your way. I'll go out on a limb here, and say I liked it. Indeed I'll go so far out on that limb that a breeze might push me...

The city of constantine!!!!!!!!!!!

Advantages: very preserved and has beautiful sightseeing spots.
Disadvantages: may not suit many peoples taste

...I am Originally from constantine in Algeria and I was born and bred there until the tender age of 8 years old, when my parent and I moved to london. And I haven't stepped a foot back until last year march '05. At first I was very wary and unsure, because algeria is not a very touristique country, but I decided to visit again to regain my lost roots. So I took a plane from london to the capital Algiers that took 3 hours and another 45minute plane trip from Algiers to constantine. You gain a taste of algeria as soon as you step on the plane, as the plane was full of algerians only, I felt at home already!!!!!!!!! I got picked up from the airport by my cousins who I havent seen for 12 years (very emotional), and as we drove to Belvieu let me tell you the road is a shocker. ...It is Neo, oh sorry! I meant Constantine as Keanu Reeves in a big movie! For me I find Keanu Reeves to be interesting viewing. I do not think he has been in bad films either, but for me his best are the Matrix and Bill and Ted. Since I knew that I was going to watch Keanu I did not set my mind for a performance of great pedigree, what I did expect was a good film concept. I think Keanu has a knack of finding good solid films that he can either ruin with his acting range! Or fit into and get rave reviews! I did not know what to expect when I went to watch this movie. All I knew was that it was a big production. Enter Reeves as Constantine, I think he is a ghost buster, sorry! I mean demon buster. ...And on this day the lord said let there be another Hollywood idea involving heaven and hell which looks cool on the surface but doesn't quite cut it. As I pressed play on the Constantine DVD I hoped I would get a decent couple of fours full of horror, shocks, action and entertaining story. This was a movie that I nearly saw on the big screen but never got round to.
