...I was excited about this camera. I wanted a light system that I could take anywere and I had read many good things about the lenses and build quality. I sold by Nikon N90s and most of my lenses to buy the G2 with 45mm and flash. I also purchased the 28mm and the 90mm and got a $700 rebate from Contax. Great deal! I wanted to love this camera- I really did. And there was much to love- superb lenses. fantistic build, great feel. But after using it for about two years, there were two things I could not get used to. The viewfinder was terrible- small and dark. I expected more for a camera the size of the G2- perhaps the view similar to a Leica M. It was more like the view that a point and shoot would have. The second problem was the flash. NME TV

Advantages: Great music

...I'm an individual who enjoys a good bit of music. Any genre will generally do if it's 'good' - by that I mean not some terrible cheesy pop song, but generally I'll stick to my indie/rock malarkey. So it's ideal then that the New Music Express has introduced their own TV station - NME TV... Operated by CSC Media Group, it replaced the music channel 'Minx' in November 2007 - which is odd as I believe Minx was more a pop music channel that indie. Upon it's launch, the first song it played was 'Up The Bracket' by the Libertines, so a perfect indication of what this channel would be playing. ...I still live with my parents and this is the TV magazine that they buy. I don't see the point in buying another TV magazine just for me. I read this magazine more than I actually watch the television. Due to exams, drama, sign language and ciao I don't watch very much television. However, every now and then I do sit down and watch an episode of Eastenders or Coronation Street, with my mam. I don't need to watch every episode to know what is going on. Apart from the fact that usually nothing much is happening, I can read the TV quick to catch up. TV Quick come out weekly and costs 70p. We get it delivered from our local newsagents with our newspaper. We usually get it on the Tuesday, before the TV listings in the magazine starts. I say magazine because it is more than just a TV listing. To write this review I'm looking at a copy...

A TV Show, about TV shows

Advantages: Good debates, Interesting topics
Disadvantages: Only once a month

...'The TV show', is in a sense Channel 4's answer to 'Points of View'. It's on monthly, on channel4 and addresses viewers opinions regarding what has been on television that month, and any complaints that have derived from viewing. It is presented by Channel4 news presenter, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, and the show is handled in more of chat show debate forum (Trisha style) rather than reading out letters a la Terry Wogan on POV. They often invite producers (or other relevant people) of whichever shows have created controversy that month. Review of The TV show

My TV Guide Of Choice.

Advantages: only 30p - not anymore it's now 33p
Disadvantages: not all digital channels listed

...First of all I will state that there are no plot spoilers included in this review although there may be mention of new series starting in the week that I am reviewing this magazine for. I promise not to give anything away though and if I do you have my permission to slap my bottom. Hang on though I may enjoy that!!! Back to the review. I don't really buy many newspapers - it's not that I don't keep up to date with the news - I just prefer to watch it on TV or look online to find out what is going on in the world. I also pop in to see my mum every day as her house is close to the school where my daughter's attend and it beats trying to find a space outside the gates, as well as getting the chance for a cuppa and a gossip. She buys a local newspaper so I'm able to have a quick look at that to find anything going on in the area...

Quick TV and Gossip

...TV Quick There's so many TV guides to choose from now that picking one is hard. Although, I do go for the free one in the papers I always love going to my grans and reading the TV Quick. It's a great TV mag but also a good long read too. What is TV Quick? It's a TV magazine with a difference. It's got the normal TV guide that every TV mag has but then there's the extras like all the celeb gossip and interview with soap and tv celebs. The price 65p which is quite a lot for TV mag but it's not just a TV mag. It's a mini version of Heat so I think the price is quite reasonable. FRONT COVER There's the usual TV QUICK red and white logo. Normally on the front cover of the TV Quick, there's a soap star that's going to be in a main storyline that week. TV Listings Made Easy!

These days there many different magazines around and competition is fierce, and if competition wasn't tough enough free TV Guides are now given out with almost every Weekend Newspaper. It may therefore seem surprising that a new TV listings magazine has been launched in the past few months in the shape of TV Easy. In fact TV Easy first hit our shelves in May 2005 at an introductory price of just 10p but the price has crept up steadilysince. I paid 38p for this weeks issue (February 4-10th 2006) so despite this TV Easy is still one of the cheapest TV listing magazines that you can buy. TV ...or not TV...? That is the Question !

...TV or not TV?? That is the question .Wether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows, of the tv licensing spies, for not having a licence...or just cough up and be done with it ! I received a reminder today informing me that my TV licence was due, which prompted me to puzzle the positive pros and cons of this seemingly antiquated licensing system, which is after all an unfair tax on the British public, The 2006/2007 colour TV licence costs £10.96 per month - about 36p per day for each household. It is free if you are over 75, half-price if you are registered blind. They must have worked out that half the enjoyment comes from the pictures and half the pleasure comes from the sound ? The annual cost (set by the Government) is currently £131.50. A black and white TV licence is £44. THERE IS NO RADIO LICENSE...

...There are a lot of different TV listing magazines on the market today but I find TV Choice the best. It is a 74 paged magazine which is published weekly, out for sale every Tuesday and costs just 30p at the moment. The front page is usually dominated by a Soap story and the main picture usually features characters from a Soap, also on the front page are pictures of new shows and feature items. The first page has an index and also a preview of the Soap stories of the week. Moving on there you will come to features on some of the new shows coming up this week and also some big storylines in current shows, this also involves short interviews with the main stars of the shows. Each story has an information box in red there is information of the show's category and in yellow the title and which channel and time the show is on...
