*Grip like a fishwife, & Better looking! Edited ..
Advantages: Grip in wet. Roadholding.
Disadvantages: Price is always a disadvantage, but not too expensive in this case.
...I write this review from my own experience, I have gone into a corner too fast and left the road. Nothing to do with the tyres, it was all my fault, and I was just glad the tyres were as good as they were, otherwise I may not have been here to tell the tale. I have been driving cars for 32 years and trucks just thirty. I have had a few skids in that time, (before ABS) and think that tyres are more important than steering or brakes.
For the first time in my life, I have bought a full set of tyres for my car, and my choice was Continentals. The actual model (Conti Premium Contact) was chosen by my ex boss who is in the tyre trade, and I trust him.
I was unimpressed by the fact that my tyres being sixteen inch were more expensive than fifteen, or even seventeens! Apparently this is due to supply and demand, they don't make...

Focus Monthly Contact Lenses
Advantages: Value for money if used wisely
Disadvantages: If not rinsed well or left in too long can cause discomfort
...Being a short-sighted Myopia sufferer contact lenses seemed like an obvious alternative to spectacles what with constantly losing or breaking them. Contact lenses eradicated this problem! Focus monthly's were the first brand of lenses I ever tried?not too expensive so as a student I could comfortably afford them. I must admit these lenses were quite comfortable?at first but due to the necessity of having to re-use and re-use them they had a tendency to fray round the edges, dry out and slightly deteriorate. If they hadn't been sterilised properly overnight and stored in the correct solution this felt on occasions like putting grit into your eye the following morning.
Focus monthly's are a product of Ciba Vision and retail at most opticians for about ten pounds a month (can be purchased in three month batches if more appropriate...

Contacts made simple!
Advantages: easy, work well and cheap
Disadvantages: can be hard to put in and make your eyes tired
...I only started using contact lenses very recently (around 2 months ago), as I'd always been under the impression that they were very expensive and that I couldn't afford them. However, I don't think this is the case after all. I went to D&A and had a contact lens trial (which was at a pretty reasonable price of £27.50 which included a very thorough check of my eyes and whether I was able to wear contact lenses, a trial pair, and all of my questions answered. Also, there is no obligation to stay with them or even buy lenses from them, should I decide I didn't want to.) which I found very useful.
I was quite nervous, but they were very friendly and helpful. My only recomendation is to take sun-glasses, as when they send you out for 15 minutes to walk around getting used to having lenses in your eyes it can seem very bright.
At first, I...

Great quality contact lenses
Advantages: Very comfortable and easy to use
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest on the market
...I've been wearing contact lenses for about 7 years. I was nervous at first, especially as there are eye problems in my family. I didn't want to do anything that might be detrimental to my eyesight or cause problems down the line. Also my job at the time meant that I was out of the house for 12 hours at a time, I wanted lenses I could leave in for this length of time without worrying that my eyes would dry. For these reason I didn't go for the cheapest option but instead took advice from my optician and chose Acuvue Advance.
These lenses are licensed for continuous wear, so in theory they could be left in the eye for the full 2 weeks before needing to be changed. My optician explained that this is because they allow a lot of oxygen to the back of the eye, so the lense does not need to be removed to allow the eye to 'breath'. However...

First Contact
Advantages: The 'Next Generation' crew get a film to themselves
Disadvantages: None
...STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT is the 8th in the 'Star Trek' movie series, and the 2nd to feature the 'Next Generation' crew, led by Captain Picard. The storyline has the crew having to travel back in time from the 24th to the 21st century in order to stop the Borg from assimilating the Earth and changing the future from the course it should be on.
This is a much more exciting film than the previous instalment, 'Generations'. Each member of the crew has more to do, whereas the last film very much seemed like 'The Picard/Kirk Show'. The storyline is more exciting - I've always had a soft spot for the Borg ever since their first appearance in the TV episode 'The Best Of Both Worlds', and the Borg and their Queen (played by Alice Krige) provide a much more formidable foe than Malcilm McDowell's Soren in the previous film. It also has to be...

Tellison - Contact! Contact!
Advantages: Melody, Harmony & Indie Pop Perfection!
Disadvantages: None
...Tellison are a relatively new band from England who are currently causing a large amount of interest on the local scene around the London area. The band members are all from the London area and are now based in West London. They deal in Heartwarming and joyous indie pop with the occasional electronic bleep, blip, or hoot thrown in for good measure. With debut album, Contact! Contact! they have released one of the most promising indie/rock albums of recent years. The guitar riffs are energetic and catchy, the vocals are uplifting and heartfelt and as a whole this band are hopefully destined for great things. As someone who listens to a lot of heavy music I was unsure if this would be my cup of tea at first but if music is of a high enough quality I think it can bridge the gaps between genres. There are 12 tracks of perfect pop music...

Drawbacks to contact lenses
Advantages: Does away with glasses - some of the time !
Disadvantages: Doesn't mean you can throw your specs away !
...I have worn glasses for many years, being shortsighted.
I recently decided to try contact lenses, mainly because I do a lot of photography now that I am retired. Using an SLR camera was a bit of a pain wearing glasses. If I had my glasses on, I couldn't really see through the viewfinder very well, if I took my glasses off I could adjust the eyepiece on the camera to get good vision, but as soon as I stopped looking through the eyepiece everything was out of focus again !
Plus - glasses are a pain in the rain !
I have tried three different types of contact lenses from Specsavers, the first pair were OK for about 50% of the time the rest of the time my vision seemed to vary from OK, to my thinking that the lenses had fallen out - which they hadn't !
The second pair (SiH 48) were an improvement (80 + %), but I am now on Easyvision.
These...

Focus Dailies (Box of 30) Contact Lenses
Advantages: Cheap, great quality, easy to aplly
Disadvantages: none
...Ive been wearing contact lenses for over 4 years and these focus dailies are the best ive had. Ive tried quite a few brands and these for me have been the best.
I used to order them from my opticians, which was a private optician, but have found this more expensive, and now order via online at asda.com which sell them half price. Although when i first ordered them via Asda, they needed to contact my previous optician for details on my eye prescription, but they only need to do this once, then you can order as many as you like as they give you an account to go back online and place your order. They only take between 3 and 4 days for delivery.
when my lenses arrived, 2 boxes arrived with 30 in each box, which last me around a month.
as for the lenses them selfs, there easy to open package, very soft and delicate, and fit in to...

First Contact
Advantages: Nothing by Lloyd-Webber
Disadvantages: Errm, can't think of any.
...One of the medium-sized theatres just outside the city centre, you might even miss it as you toddle along Oxford Road in search of curry. The Contact is more interesting than many other theatres in that it tends to put on less overtly-popularist shows than many of its rivals, although the new <Studio Theatre> at the Royal Exchange has started giving it a run for its money. One of the best shows I've seen took place at The Contact (it was <The Trial> by Steven Berkoff). The whole place has just been revamped and would be the most interesting Mancunian theatre in terms of architecture and decor if <The Lowry> hadn't stolen its thunder....
