Advantages: Helpful staff, lovely bedrooms, mini-bus service into the centre
Disadvantages: Not much in the local area, expensive, facilities not the best

...I?ve had the pleasure of staying here on two occasions recently, both two night stays, both for work purposes so of course I wasn't paying for the room! First impressions: The lobby is very wide and atrium style. As you walk across the marble floor there is a weird blue statue of a man and on your right escalators going downstairs. There are also a vast number of chairs and tables. To the left is the spa and a couple of boutique type stores. It does look more like the foyer of a prestigious office tower rather than a hotel though. It's a very large hotel with over five hundred guest bedrooms over nine floors. Checking In: On both occasions it was very easy to check in and out again, the receptionists were all efficient, helpful and spoke excellent English. Review of Hotel Athenaeum InterContinental, Athens

IFA Continental, Playa Des Ingles

Advantages: Execellent position next to bus station and close to shops, just far enough away from night life to be quiet.
Disadvantages: The food is excellent so you may over eat ! Not very close to beach.

...the mountains of which a visit is a must. The beach however is not at this end of the resort so aways to go to get to the sandy part. it's not what we went for so no bother to us, it is easy to walk to as the promanade runs right along to Maspolamas and the sand dunes but its a long walk. there are plenty of Taxi's and hire cars around. The Kumba centre is far enough away not to be a nuisance but near enough to walk to and taxi back with shopping. We like to go to Gran Canaria in March as it's usally awlful here but very warm without being to hot over there. The flight takes just under four hours so pick a good airline with entertainment as this can be a long trip for the children. We now have a timeshare at another resort or we would have gone again to The Continental, happy memories of this hotel and you can't miss it as it's pale pink...

Continental Park Hotel

Advantages: exc location, 5 mins from the beach, top quailty hotel!
Disadvantages: quite a long coach ride from the airport (Palma)

...For my first ever time abroad I was very worried about what kind of accomodation we were going to get (having seen many nightmare stories on TV!). However, as soon as we arrived outside the hotel, my worries were over! Its quailty and modern design from the outside gives a great first impression, on going inside, I became even more impressed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Due to our arrival time we were able to leave our luggage and go into the huge restaurant to a self-serve buffet. The variety of food was great and was superbly cooked. This wasnt just an arrival thing - the standards were this high the whole time we were there. There was a good choice of spanish foods along with the traditional british foods (of which tasted better than back home!). Our room wasnt huge, but it was definatly big enough for the two of us! The year of establishment has been used in one of their famous marketing campaigns, "Chocolate heaven since 1911." According to an article I read Thorntons now has nearly 400 shops and cafes and a turnover over £180m. Thorntons Continental chocolates are their most popular assortment of chocolates. Apparently, sales of this range and Thorntons Special Toffee account for almost £80 million of Thornton's sales. It's easy to see why as in my opinion the chocolate are a great quality product with an even better taste. What I like about a box of Continental is that they are quite a posh box of chocolates. They make a great present as they are a bit nicer in my opinion than say a box of Roses or Quality Street...

A Touch of Continental Class

Advantages: Well Crafted Chocolates with Exquisite Flavours
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little too rich

...Back in march I took my first long haul flight to america with continental airlines. I regreted every minute of it. Our flight on the way out was an extra hour on top as it was due to the time zones. But when you looked at the map it looked like we had a drunk pilot. He was all over the place. His take off was poor and way to steep and slow. When he went to land he missed the landing and we had to circle again. When we decending he kept going steep and then he would have to pull up again this went on for about 20-30 minutes. It made everyone feel sick and hurt everyones ears. We had to sit with our seatbelts on the majority of the time. Finally when we landed we were all so glad to have landed on ground but it was too bumpy. suprised we didnt crash. Continental Airlines : Good Service, no complaints

Advantages: Direct flight to where I wanted to go, good food
Disadvantages: Plane seemed small, no on demand TV

...I have flown with Continental three times, each time was the Manchester to Newark transatlantic flight. I have since heard that Continental have had some negative reviews, but with it being an American carrier I didn't really know a lot about them prior to booking so I had no pre-conceived expectations before the flight. The first two flights were aboard a 767 which had the seatback televisions, although not the newer touch screen ones with TV on demand. We were given complimentary headphones, a pillow and a blanket which did make the flight quite comfortable. The cabin crew were pleasant and well presented and always seemed available if needed. There was one passenger on our first return flight who needed extra oxygen (not sure what for) but the staff were attentive and professional. We had a one meal which was the usual...

Continental Grand Prix 4000

Advantages: Lightweight and fast, should be hard wearing...
Disadvantages: Expensive, but worth it !

...Just been for my first ride on my new Continental Grand Prix 4000 tyres, and thought I'd let you know about them. I know it's only a first use test, but will update this review when I've had them for a while. Also, I've assumed that if you're reading this, you have some interest and/or knowledge of bicycles. I hope that's OK... Continental have over 100 years experience in the development and production of road and mountain bike tyres, at the Continental Two-Wheel division's technology and development centre in Korbach in Germany. The Grand Prix 4000 road/race tyre is the sucessor to the excellent Grand Prix 3000 that I've had on my bike for 2 years or so. It's a "clincher" tyre (as opposed to a tubular tyre), so should fit most road/race wheels/rims. It was a bit of a narrow decision between these and the Continental Attack...

Thorntons Continental Boxed Chocolates- Love.

Advantages: Absolutly georgous, wide variety, delicious creamy milk chocolate
Disadvantages: Pricey, addictive, fat and calories.

...You may have noticed my last couple of reviews have been on boxed or tinned chocolates, such as Mars Celebrations and Cadburys heroes. This review may be slightly different as many of you who are reading this will not have tried these chocolates before. Neither had I untill new year, when relatives from another part of the country came over for dinner and brought a present for each of my family.
