...Chocolate Heaven Since 1911 Thorntons is a chocolate company established by Joseph William Thornton in 1911 in Britain. The year of establishment has been used in one of their famous marketing campaigns, "Chocolate heaven since 1911." According to an article I read Thorntons now has nearly 400 shops and cafes and a turnover over £180m. Thorntons Continental chocolates are their most popular assortment of chocolates. Apparently, sales of this range and Thorntons Special Toffee account for almost £80 million of Thornton's sales. It's easy to see why as in my opinion the chocolate are a great quality product with an even better taste. What I like about a box of Continental is that they are quite a posh box of chocolates. They make a great present as they are a bit nicer in my opinion than say a box of Roses or Quality Street...

Continental: Getting Less for More

continental shambles

Advantages: nice airhostessess
Disadvantages: rubbish service, delayed all the time, small planes, cramped.

...Back in march I took my first long haul flight to america with continental airlines. I regreted every minute of it. Our flight on the way out was an extra hour on top as it was due to the time zones. But when you looked at the map it looked like we had a drunk pilot. He was all over the place. His take off was poor and way to steep and slow. When he went to land he missed the landing and we had to circle again. When we decending he kept going steep and then he would have to pull up again this went on for about 20-30 minutes. It made everyone feel sick and hurt everyones ears. We had to sit with our seatbelts on the majority of the time. Finally when we landed we were all so glad to have landed on ground but it was too bumpy. suprised we didnt crash. A Touch of Continental Class

Advantages: Well Crafted Chocolates with Exquisite Flavours

Athenaeum Luxury at the InterContinental

Advantages: Helpful staff, lovely bedrooms, mini-bus service into the centre
Disadvantages: Not much in the local area, expensive, facilities not the best

...(which had a view of the Acropolis) was marble effect floor rather than carpet, and had a sofa, glass coffee table with a couple of glossy Greek tourism magazines, and a writing desk and chair. There was also a kettle with Lipton teabags and Nescafe coffee sticks. There was air-conditioning but even on full blast it was still quite warm. On opening the window the room became a bit noisy. At least the blackout curtains kept the room darkened. The Bathroom: Very clean, but showing it's age a bit. There was a white fluffy bathrobe and slippers, which is always a plus point, bathroom scale (not so good!) and lovely Korres toiletries and a hygiene kit containing face pads, cotton buds and a mini sewing kit. Premier Inn, Charing Cross Glasgow

...I have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend. The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home. The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep. We opted for the breakfast deal and we were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and warm there was also plenty of choice. Access to the hotel was excellent for both able bodied and non-able bodied people, we didn't have a wheelchair but we did have a six month old baby and a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from...

Continental Airlines : Good Service, no complaints

Advantages: Direct flight to where I wanted to go, good food
Disadvantages: Plane seemed small, no on demand TV

...I have flown with Continental three times, each time was the Manchester to Newark transatlantic flight. I have since heard that Continental have had some negative reviews, but with it being an American carrier I didn't really know a lot about them prior to booking so I had no pre-conceived expectations before the flight. The first two flights were aboard a 767 which had the seatback televisions, although not the newer touch screen ones with TV on demand. We were given complimentary headphones, a pillow and a blanket which did make the flight quite comfortable. The cabin crew were pleasant and well presented and always seemed available if needed. Continental Grand Prix 4000

Advantages: Lightweight and fast, should be hard wearing...
Disadvantages: Expensive, but worth it !

...Just been for my first ride on my new Continental Grand Prix 4000 tyres, and thought I'd let you know about them. I know it's only a first use test, but will update this review when I've had them for a while. Also, I've assumed that if you're reading this, you have some interest and/or knowledge of bicycles. I hope that's OK... Continental have over 100 years experience in the development and production of road and mountain bike tyres, at the Continental Two-Wheel division's technology and development centre in Korbach in Germany. The Grand Prix 4000 road/race tyre is the sucessor to the excellent Grand Prix 3000 that I've had on my bike for 2 years or so. It's a "clincher" tyre (as opposed to a tubular tyre), so should fit most road/race wheels/rims. It was a bit of a narrow decision between these and the Continental Attack...

...Having attended a conference here before in one of the conference suites, and having stayed overnight at the hotel a few month's ago, I felt it was time to post a review of the Inn on Ciao. ~ The location ~ Jury's Inn Croydon is situated on the A212, Wellesley Road in central Croydon. This is one of the busiest roads in the borough and the hotel is only about a ten minute walk from mainline East Croydon station and the smaller West Croydon station. Advantages: Absolutly georgous, wide variety, delicious creamy milk chocolate

This review may be slightly different as many of you who are reading this will not have tried these chocolates before.
