Advantages: Modern planes, confortable seats, great frequent flyer programme
Disadvantages: Houston (their main hub) is awful

...My wife had flown Continental for the first time last year on a trip to California to visit family. Her only complaint was that transiting through Houston was a nightmare, even though she only had handluggage. Fortunately, Continental held the connecting flight to San Francisco (she wasn't the only delayed passenger) and she made the flight. She also found the service excellent and friendly. She joined Continental's Onepass frequent flyer programme. It has been voted the best several times by Skytrax users (www.airlinequality.com). Basically two return flights a year to California earns "Elite" status, and enough points for free upgrades on a future flight. ...<-----Way There-----> Back at the begining of August me my mum and my brother and sister flied out to California to see my Grandparents and Auntie. We live in England so we knew we had a long journey on our hands and from my previous experiances with other airlines I know that plane travel isn't the nicest thing in the world. Well Continental Airlines changed my opinion. We set out at 7 in the morning to Gatwik in London for our 12 o'clock flight. After 2 hours of traveling by car we reached the Airport and waved goodbye to my dad. We got our luggage and put it onto a trolley and we made are way to our gate. After a few minutes we arrived and seemed to have had a big queue infront of us. Advantages: Lightweight and fast, should be hard wearing...
Disadvantages: Expensive, but worth it !

...Just been for my first ride on my new Continental Grand Prix 4000 tyres, and thought I'd let you know about them. I know it's only a first use test, but will update this review when I've had them for a while. Also, I've assumed that if you're reading this, you have some interest and/or knowledge of bicycles. I hope that's OK... Continental have over 100 years experience in the development and production of road and mountain bike tyres, at the Continental Two-Wheel division's technology and development centre in Korbach in Germany. The Grand Prix 4000 road/race tyre is the sucessor to the excellent Grand Prix 3000 that I've had on my bike for 2 years or so. It's a "clincher" tyre (as opposed to a tubular tyre), so should fit most road/race wheels/rims. It was a bit of a narrow decision between these and the Continental Attack... Read review

...We flew Continental between Gatwick-Newark(NY)-Gatwick 2 weeks ago. Our experience can only be described as "Superb". We had a morning "outbound" flight, and an evening "inbound" flight. The check-in at Gatwick was fast and efficient, with friendly and helpful staff. I think they must be introducing a new "Self-Service" system, as there were plenty of staff around to direct you, and also to do preliminary checks on passports. From initially entering the terminal to checking in our bags took no more than 15 minutes. I was also impressed with the attentive nature of the check-in staff. I have to use a walking stick, and although when we booked the flights, we did not request any assistance, the member of staff who checked us in, asked if we required any assistance or help. ...My partner and I flew with Continental Airlines in August of 2006 and I have to say we had a great experience using their airline. As usual check-in was a bit slow, which is to be expected with most airlines, especially in the busy months. They check-in first and business first classes and then proceed to us economy folks, which didn't bother us in the slightest. It did take us marginally longer than usual due to the extra security there was that time last year due to bomb scares, etc. We flew from Belfast to Newark to Orlando International and home again costing around £500 each. The great thing about Continental is that when you check your bags at belfast they are checked all the way through to your destination, which saves a lot of time and hassle. All you are left to do at the connecting airport then is grab your bag... Read review

Advantages: Absolutly georgous, wide variety, delicious creamy milk chocolate
Disadvantages: Pricey, addictive, fat and calories.

...You may have noticed my last couple of reviews have been on boxed or tinned chocolates, such as Mars Celebrations and Cadburys heroes. This review may be slightly different as many of you who are reading this will not have tried these chocolates before. Neither had I untill new year, when relatives from another part of the country came over for dinner and brought a present for each of my family. Obviously knowing how much of a sweet tooth I had, I was presented with a huge box of THORNTONS CONTINENTAL BOXED CHOCOLATES. I was thrilled, and over the next few weeks I devoured every single chocolate in the box! ...I flew from Brussels to New York in the Easter holidays with Continental airlines. To be honest, I had never even heard about this airline until I started looking for the cheapest fare on the internet. All the bigger airline companies like Delta, United airways, American Airlines were at least 25% more expensive than Continental. Because of this price difference I didn't have very high expectation when I boarded the plane in Brussels. However, the staff (2 of whom were British for some reason) were very helpful and did everything they could to make the flight as comfortable as possible. One thing that did bother me were the frequency of the 'on board announcements'. Since I boarded in Brussels, everything was announced in English (American), Flemish AND French. ...Travelling Continental was a good decision this year on our flight from Gatwick to Houston. There seemed to be more legroom on this new 777 plane, than any other I have been on before. Most of the flight attendants were very friendly and helpful, except one who acted stroppy because I asked for milk in my coffee and she only heard me say sugar!! I liked the seat configuration of 3/3/3 - yet this could be a problem for famililes of 4. The in flight entertainment was the highlight, with about 5 movies running simultaneously and continuously, plus other channels like the Drama Channell and the Family Channell, and cartoons for kids. There was a good selection of audio channels, as well as loads of games which were played using a state of the art remote control on elastic from a pouch in the side of your seat.
