...that were supplied lasted for a couple of weeks of gaming, I would think maybe 20 to 25 hours of gaming. I think I will be getting stocked up on rechargeable batteries, or buy the play and charge kit, which I have seen for sale for about 15 quid. This has a battery pack, and a charging cable that plugs into one of the USB ports where a wired controller would normally plug into. For a few quid more, you can buy the quick charge kit, which is a standalone charger for the battery packs. I couldn't find anything in the manual for the controller, but when the batteries are running low, the ring of light on the controller flashes alternate lights to tell you to change soon. You can plug many things into the back of the controller, ranging from the Xbox LIVE headset, which will connect both your controller and the headset, enabling you to hear players from around the world, and also hearing the great sounds from the game. And if you're getting tired of having to replace those darn batteries from the controller, then get yourself a Play & Charge Kit. You can plug it in, having uninterrupted play, giving the controller 25 hours worth of play. Plus, if you're feeling like you want to drive around the streets of London in your ferrari while playing PGR3....while being your kitchen, or even your garden....then thats fine, because that controller has a 30 foot range of play....technology has come such along way! ...of these controllers are only going up. They are available in two colours - grey and platinum. Platinum is my personaly favourite, but were never released in the UK so you will likely need to import them from the US if you want to get your hands on them. Overall They are excellent wireless controllers, and extremely reliable. The introduction of the Wii has only increased the demand for these controllers since the aforementioned games of Super Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart Wii are arguably best played with Gamecube controlllers. And in this day and age of wireless controllers, the Wavebird is the king of the Gamecube controllers. If you find one for less than £25, snap it up immediately.... Read review
