.... The eggs For most people the main reason for keeping chickens will be for their egg production. I must say that despite all the hassle of looking after them and them wanting to kill me - they do lay fantastic eggs. Generally we get three eggs a day and these are bigger than the "large" eggs you can buy in tescos. They are also much tastier than shop brought eggs and when used in cooking work fantastically. Given the cost of the housing, the chickens, their food etc, I don't you would make back that cost through the money you save on eggs but we all prefer them to shop-brought eggs. As the eggs are freshly laid they will keep for a while and if you are going to use them soon it is best to store them out of the fridge. A couple of times one of the chickens has laid a giant double yolked egg and sometimes one of them doesn't lay at all...

He actually was not initially going to try out for the television talent show, he was at the auditions to support his brother but, after some pushing from his brother, decided to audition too. A good decision, because he became the winner of the seventh season of American Idol in 2008. David Cook is classified as a Rock, singer-songwriter. His sound is definitely very rocky, but in my opinion quite soft rock. He has a very deep, raspy voice that lends itself very well to this type of music. ...Cooking Mama challenges players to use their stylus as a master kitchen tool to cook lots of real world dishes ranging from pepperoni pizza to cabbage meat rolls. The game makes good and inventive use of the DS stylus and microphone with players use the stylus to chop, slice, pan fry, knead, grate, mash and peel. You can even share recipes with your friends via the DS's WI-FI settings, this gives the game extra depth as you try to out-cook your friends! ...Although I do try to moderate the amount of television that my two young daughters watch, there are some programmes that I have to admit are really rather good and definitely worth switching on for. One such programme is Big Cook Little Cook which is shown most days at various times on the cbeebies channel. This really is an excellent programme that is sure to get children interested in cooking - which in these fast food times can only be a good thing! There are two cooks on this programme - unsurprisingly they are Big Cook and Little Cook - who run their own cafe. Big Cook Ben (played by Stephen Marsh) is a full sized person whereas Little Cook Small (Daniel Wright) is no bigger than a mixing spoon! ...this little oven and the results are excellent. The 1300W halogen bulb cooks things superfast but it is easy to keep an eye on them through the glass. There is a lot of heat from this unit while it is cooking and the glass gets very hot, so extra care is needed if you have kids around. The whole thing lights up with a bright orange glow as soon as you push the handle down to start it off. (Not good on a hot day). It switches on and off during cooking to maintain the correct temperature. The JML Halogen Oven is available from JML (John Mills Ltd) and can be purchased via their TV Channel, online, or in stores that stock JML Goods. ...I've never been a good cook but after my friend let me have a go on her Cooking Mama game I had to buy it for myself! Basically, you have to make a dish and at the end you get a grade from cooking mama, depending on how well you make the dish. The grades are Gold, Silver & Bronze with Gold being the best, Bronze the Worst. Cooking Mama is similar to games such as Wario Ware because of the fact you will be given a short amount of time to complete simple actions which can be anything in Cooking Mama such as slicing, mixing, pressing food , grating & even pouring!
