He actually was not initially going to try out for the television talent show, he was at the auditions to support his brother but, after some pushing from his brother, decided to audition too. A good decision, because he became the winner of the seventh season of American Idol in 2008. David Cook is classified as a Rock, singer-songwriter. His sound is definitely very rocky, but in my opinion quite soft rock. He has a very deep, raspy voice that lends itself very well to this type of music. Quite literally 'Meat free'

Advantages: Substantial, healthy, low fat and calorie meal
Disadvantages: Slightly sickly; quite sloppy; bland veg;

...Let me first clarify that I am by no standards a vegetarian; I love white meat such as chicken and Turkey, and the occassional sausage and bacon. I like spaghetti bolegnaise or shepherds pie ready meals but I actually can't stand minced meat; it's grisly and chewy - even the extra lean stuff. I find this a shame becasue I love to make homemade dinners. I was browsing the rice aisle during our shop at Asda when I spotted 'Asda Meat free savoury mince' in a packet. Now, I wouldn't write a review for the sake of it. I'm writing this review because you, like I did, may be slightly wary of a packeted meat free mince product that costs just 58p. ...Cooking Mama challenges players to use their stylus as a master kitchen tool to cook lots of real world dishes ranging from pepperoni pizza to cabbage meat rolls. The game makes good and inventive use of the DS stylus and microphone with players use the stylus to chop, slice, pan fry, knead, grate, mash and peel. You can even share recipes with your friends via the DS's WI-FI settings, this gives the game extra depth as you try to out-cook your friends! Real meat in a treat

The first problem was finding something tiny enough for little Ellery when he was just three months old and still hadn't got all of his teeth. ...I've never been a good cook but after my friend let me have a go on her Cooking Mama game I had to buy it for myself! Basically, you have to make a dish and at the end you get a grade from cooking mama, depending on how well you make the dish. The grades are Gold, Silver & Bronze with Gold being the best, Bronze the Worst. Cooking Mama is similar to games such as Wario Ware because of the fact you will be given a short amount of time to complete simple actions which can be anything in Cooking Mama such as slicing, mixing, pressing food , grating & even pouring! All these actions are done with the Stylus by swiping, tapping, or scribbling on the DS screen. ...Although I do try to moderate the amount of television that my two young daughters watch, there are some programmes that I have to admit are really rather good and definitely worth switching on for. One such programme is Big Cook Little Cook which is shown most days at various times on the cbeebies channel. This really is an excellent programme that is sure to get children interested in cooking - which in these fast food times can only be a good thing! There are two cooks on this programme - unsurprisingly they are Big Cook and Little Cook - who run their own cafe. Big Cook Ben (played by Stephen Marsh) is a full sized person whereas Little Cook Small (Daniel Wright) is no bigger than a mixing spoon!
