...Do not be fooled by the name of this site , it actually sells a lot more than just cookers. In fact nearly every type off of appliance you may require for your kitchen is available , Direct to your door . The home page of Cookers-Direct is best described as colourful and eye catching with its blue boarder and bright orange centre, ( luckily I'm not reviewing this site for their taste in colour schemes). Across the top of the page is a scrolling message explaining that all items for sale now have an extended 2 years warranty ,( well that's a money saver straight away). In the centre of the page is message from the company explaining who they are and that they are a family run company, and have been in trading for 20 years. Advantages: A very good cooker.
Disadvantages: Not a lot.

Many makers now offer more than a single year, usually two at least. These gas appliances should be fitted by a Corgi registered fitter, and if you ever have an emergency concerning gas, you should ring Transco on 0800 111999 I like this cooker, everything seems easy to use, the two ovens are a practical idea, and save fuel. The appearance of the cooker is very stylish. I must say that this particular model, is no longer being made, so I will not give current prices, however, the ones they do make seem identical to mine. The In-CREDA-ble budget cooker

What to look for in a gas cooker

Advantages: Cheaper than electricity, faster, good range of cookers

...- the hinging mechanisms of the lids often go. Because they have a lid to cover the burners they have to have extra safety devices on to cut the gas off if you close the lid when a burner is lit. Unfortunately, when you lift the lid back up the gas starts coming out of the burner again without being lit. Some makes, such as New World, actually turn the taps back off by means of a worm-drive on the taps, which is a good safety feature. However, the more features an appliance has, the more there is to go wrong. These things can be very expensive to replace. SERVICING Cookers do need servicing, but by keeping the burners clean and washed yourself, you will not need professional servicing too often. If you don't keep the cooker clean, the burner ports block and with the heat the blockage becomes hard and can't be removed, so it doesn't burn...
