...Cookworks MK17P06A Signature Cordless Kettle.
---------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------
Yesterday morning whilst venturing into the land of the living, I decided it was time to wake myself fully with a second cup of coffee of the day. Sadly, my attempts failed as my old kettle decided it was going to retire after 6 years of dedicated service. I was then reduced to the saucepan on the cooker routine to boil water and eventually got that second coffee.
Whilst finally enjoying my coffee I decided to browse through the Argos Catalogue for a replacement kettle. After a few minutes browsing through the variety of kettle on offer, I was drawn to the Cookworks MK17P06A Signature Cordless Kettle for only £7.99. I immediately sent my husband packing to purchase the kettle.

Cookworks Breadmaker - enjoy home baked bread
Advantages: Freshly baked bread.
Disadvantages: None
...I have always envied people who can make bread successfully. I don?t know how they find the time nor the patience to knead the dough wait for it to rise an then bake it. All my attempts have ended up in the bin. However, I recently asked a friend how she manages to make her own bread, run a farm and do a part time job. It was then she told me that she uses a bread maker and was quite surprised that I hadn?t already realised. Her bread is always delicious being fresh, soft and tasty so I thought I would give it ago.
I decided to look at Argos on line to see how much they were and the different types available. It was then that I noticed this Cookworks Bread Maker on offer at £31.89 (catalogue number 422/9399). Compared to some of the other makes it was very reasonably priced and very stylish being black and stainless steel. So I ordered...

Got me converted to making fresh bread daily Cookworks Breadmaker
Advantages: No mess, no fuss
Disadvantages: It is quite big
...I thought I would give bread making a go. I bought one of these premixed bread recipes and my son and I got down to kneading. It ain't for the faint hearted, it takes ages, it is very messy and the dough is difficult to clean. However we did make nice bread, so much so I really wanted fresh bread without the hassle.
I looked at breadmakers and thought I did not really want to spend £100 on something that might not work too well and which may be may be a fad for a lttle while. I noticed Argos had a stainless cookworks breadmaker reduced to £29, I bought it and went home to try it out.
The first bread was a disaster I had added too much water (my fault), my second attempt was great. I have now tried breads from the recipe book that comes with the bread maker and I have also bought the supermarket premixes as well. There is no mess...

12 tiny cups of coffee!
Advantages: Cheap, perfect for a small kitchen!
Disadvantages: says it will make 12 cups of coffee but will only make 3 decent sized mugs or 6 small cups!
... Cookworks Coffee Machine
Introduction
Me and my husband love coffee, and drink it daily. We used to have a café tier, you know the little glass things which you put ground coffee into and press down? But one day my husband smashed it by accident and so since it?s been instant coffee all round. Two days ago I saw an advertisement for this Cookworks coffee machine from Argos for just £4.99, it said it would make 10-12 cups of coffee, so we decided we would buy one for when the family came down as it would mean we could make a pot for all of us, as if it would make 10 cups of normal sized coffees, it would make around 5 large cups of coffee which is how big our cups are. We weren?t expecting much from a £5 coffee machine, but thought if we got good quality coffee , it would be fine, and then when we did get another café...

Cookworks Microwave in Silver
Advantages: cheap looks good
Disadvantages: none
...Cookworks MM717CKAS Microwave in Silver
Seeing as we have moved in to a brand new build flat it seemed such a shame to be taking a load of our older household furniture and equipment. After clearing out the kitchen and moving the old microwave out of its position of the last seven years I was able to see clearly for the first time that the white colourings of the microwave had turned a rather worn yellow colour. This would certainly show up more in our new fitted white kitchen and I for one was not prepared to move it and tarnish the look of our new flat. A quick browse in the Argos catalogue showed me all I needed when I saw this Cookworks silver microwave for a cheap price.
This microwave cost £29.99p although it is available in white for £24.49p and it is the cheapest microwave that Argos has for sale. We don...

COOKWORKS BREADMAKER (SO IT SAYS)
Advantages: fresh bread
Disadvantages: takes ages, cant get it right!
...One advantage of getting married is receiving lots of nice presents. Another household item on my list was the Cookworks breadmaker from Argos.
I have been waiting until I had used this a few times before I write a review on it, to give it a fair trial.
COST
+++++
This model was £24.99 from Argos. There were a lot dearer models and brands, but being a wedding present, I wanted something that was reasonably priced.
STYLE/DESIGN
++++++++++++
The machine is white (as can be seen in the above picture). The top of the machine has a clear plastic window so that you can check the bread without opening the top of the machine.
The control settings for the various cook cycles and programmes are all on the top of the machine also. The machine is very heavy.
FIRST USE
++++++++++
I plugged the machine on and it didnt...

I love my coffee
Advantages: Cheap and easy to use
Disadvantages: Durability
...Cookworks XQ663
Coffee Maker
When you are a student, the most important thing for you becomes how you should handle money. Students want to own everything which makes life easier for normal people without wasting much money. Cookworks XQ663 is a necessary item for coffee lovers, and definitely saves them from being inconvenienced and at a very low price. Actually, it is the cheapest basic coffee maker you can buy from Argos for £5.99 and I write this review after buying my second Cookworks XQ663 coffee maker.
Although my first coffee maker worked for one year only, and I didn't buy its warranty, yet I still believe it's a very good product. As you can see in the picture, it's just a basic coffee machine that can give you filter coffee in minutes, but this is all it can do. To make coffee, you lift the cover and fill...

Cookworks 2 Slice Toaster
Advantages: cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: none
...Cookworks 2 Slice Toaster
After only recently buying a new toaster and being thoroughly disappointed with its performance or really I should say lack of performance I invested in buying a new one from Argos. My last toaster not only worked when it wanted to and I was often found standing holding the button down to toast my bread but it also lacked the ability to toast all of the slice. The top two inches were always poking out and I had to turn halfway through to make sure the whole slice was evenly browned.
I made sure then that my new toaster was capable of fitting inside a whole slice and working well. I decided to pay a little more than the last cheap one which cost me a fiver and spend out £10 on buying a nice silver looking Cookworks toaster. On arriving at Argos and checking availability with the small keypad...

Conscience Coffee
Advantages: Fairtrade, ethical business, reasonable product
Disadvantages: Bit bland, not full bodied as rivals or real ground coffee
...I really love the taste and smell of fresh ground coffee, especially from Colombia or Costa Rica. There is a richness and distinctive aroma as you open the pack which just sets the taste buds tingling???..Alas, all too often it is simply not practical or best use of time to indulge in real brewed coffee so instant must suffice. Unfortunately in this sector of the beverage market price is often indicative of quality, and premium brand instant coffees almost always taste better than the standard or economy offerings. Having experienced enjoyable cups of Percol Fresh Ground Colombian Coffee I had high expectations from the instant variety: even more so since it was on offer at just over £2 for a 100g jar making it very competitive against other premium brands. The packaging with it?s familiar green green hue and prominent Fairtrade...
