...I've never really been a fan of Winter sports, so the entry of a Jamaican bobsleigh team into the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary pretty much passed me by. What I am a fan of, however, is a decent comedy film, so the release of "Cool Runnings", supposedly based on the story of the Jamaican Bobsleigh team, was unlikely to do the same. Sanka Coffie is the best pushcart driver on Jamaica, just about to win his 7th pushcart derby in a row. His best friend is Derice Bannock, who is about to win his place in Jamaica's 1988 Olympic team to compete in the 100 metres and follow in the footsteps of his father, who had won a gold medal in the 200 metres some years before. Unfortunately, the trials don't turn out quite the way he'd expected. In a desperate effort to represent Jamaica, Derice turns to Irv Blitzer, a former Olympic bobsleigh...

Cool Water

Advantages: Great long lasting fragrance
Disadvantages: can be a little expensive

...Cool Waters is a really popular fragrance which has been on the market since 1996. Whenever the name "Cool Water" is mentioned just about everyone knows exactly which perfume you are talking about and most people have either bought it or smelled it before. I have been buying Davidoff Cool Water for about 6 or 7 years now and use it quite reguarly because of its exotic long lasting scent. I wouldn't go as far as saying its my favourite perfume because I have well over 100 bottles of perfume and chosing a favourite would be too hard because I love the smell of all my perfumes. But out of all my perfumes this is the one which I use the most, usually about 4 or 5 times a week. Cool With A Crunch

...Since I have been working I have found myself snacking a lot in my breaks which I suppose is normal but it has also meant I have been going through a range of crisps and chocolate. My latest favourite which I hadn't eaten for a while until last week were of course my favourite Dorito's flavour Cool Original. Dorito's are crisps that I have always loved and I know they have quite a big range from Cheese and Chilli Heatwave and their range of dips but Cool Original has always been my favourite as it is such a unique taste and the blue coloured packet has always been one I will gladly pick up. To make things less unhealthy when I buy Cool Original I tend to buy a typical 30g bag as I feel the 245g bag is quite big and I end up just eating it all which is not good. ...When I was back at school, my school tuck shop went through a strange healthy eating phase where they decided to ban all potato crisps. However, they still allowed Doritos to be sold as they are made of corn (though I don't see how these were any healthier). ...Cool Food is a very attractive little book, it has a very pretty aqua blue spine, and the front cover has a lovely looking tuna salad on. The book is only small, 18 cm tall by 15 cm wide, but it's a thick book (400 pages in all). I like cooking, and for a while found cook books hard to resist. I fell in love with this book in Sainsburys of all places, but once I got it home the love affair dwindled. The book is divided into Starters Mains Sides Sweets Drinks Index I like the fact that there is quite a large chapter on drinks, very few books are so comprehensive in this respect. The majority of the drinks are non-alcoholic which is great for families with kids, although I'd have quite liked either a section on cocktails as this book has a lot of ideas that are great for entertaining, or suggestions by the drinks of 'you could replace...

...A review on Tesco Cool Coconut bars. Well, after a busy day, I found myself in Tesco's at 8.00pm last night. Not the usual night out, but it couldn't be helped. Anyway, I was drawn, as ever, to the chocolate. It was the bags of Tesco Cool Coconut mini bars that caught my eye this time. The bag said, "11 Treat size bars. Moist, sweet flaked coconut covered in thick milk chocolate." But, did they live up to their expectations on any of those counts? We'll see. My Jazzy 'Birth Of Cool' by Miles Davies Remastered.

Advantages: Excellent Jazz Album.
Disadvantages: None!

...a little bit of everything included and each song holds also, some fantastic memories for me, about my Grandparents, when I was growing up. They both used to dance around a lot to this CD and those memories of this music are happy ones to me that make me smile to myself when I think about this. I love listening to this album a lot and not because I am a huge jazz fan or anything, but because my Grandparents and all these songs, really mean a lot to me. This Birth of cool CD was re-mastered in 1998, as it originally was on a LP and sounded a bit crackly. Well this newer version is not perfect either, but it sure is a lot better sound quality than before. A further remake of this album called ?The complete Birth Of Cool is now also available with lots more added tracks by Miles Davis and it sounds great. A Little Bit About Miles Davis...

Cool blokes get Cool Water!

...Cool water from Davidoff has been around for a good number of years now and to be honest will always be my favourite "come back to" aftershave. It is generally a highly popular fragrance and because it lasts for so long is well worth the money. Davidoff the company make many other fragrances another new one being Echo which is a new favourite of mine. I did do a search on the web about Davidoff and came across the fact they sell smoking stuff! Their website sells anything from ashtrays to cigars! I couldn't believe it! The things you discover writing these reviews! Now I purchased my bottle from my local Boots store but have seen it available in most chemists or Superdrug. Using Bonjela Can Be Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...Children are notorious for sticking things that they shouldn't into their mouths whether it is pens, pencils, fingers, paint brushes pretty much everything really. They are also equally guilty of eating things too quickly which often results in them either biting their tongues or the sides of their cheeks. I have lost count of the number of times I have hugged a tearful six year old complaining that he has a sore bit inside his mouth which generally turns out to be a painful ulcer. I have tried several lotions and potions over the last year or so and have found the best by far to be a relatively new product from Bonjela called Cool Gel and I now always have a tube handy in my medicine cabinet just in case. Lupe Fiasco's The (Un)Cool

Advantages: A couple of good tracks
