...Hawaiian tropic complete care after sun after bath I tend to buy a lot of the Hawaiian tropic products when we go abroad because i like the smell and they remind me of holidays spent in the sunshine. I had never tried this one before but decided it was worth a go because I have never had any problems with the products before. WHAT DOES IT DO? Since this doesn't just market itself as an after sun, but rather as complete body care, i am expecting something great from it, although even before I use it, I do expect it to be merely an after sun/moisturiser...not cynical, merely a realist. This is an after sun/after bath product so I believe that makes it the kind of product which can be used all year round as a body moisturiser, unless it is for after the bath when you have previously spent the day on the sun. Clinique After Sun with Aloe - Don't be a lobster!

Advantages: Really cools down skin, stops flaking
Disadvantages: A tad expensive, but worth it!

...been in the sun. It also really helps with moisturising my skin so I don't get horrible flaking skin, which is not a good look on holiday (or anytime!) I find that it absorbs in to the skin really quickly and is really effective in cooling burnt areas and moisturising. Another great thing about this lotion is that it is oil free, it is also allergy tested and fragrance free. Since the lotion was really good at soothing it really made me feel more comfortable and reduced and itching the sun caused me. Because the aloe cooled my skin I think that my skin was less red in the long run too. I really like the design of the tube, it is a mint green colour with a big yellow 'C' on the front of it and then a yellow band across the middle with 'Clinique After Sun' written on it. ...'t stand these sticky creams for after sun that just don't loose the greasiness. So, what it aims to do is soothe and rehydrate every 12 hours. It has cactus extract which to me didn't sound very cooling but I was so desperate for the redness to go down. I found it quite useful that on the back of the bottle it has some answered questions. It claims to be non-sticky and non-greasy and to be easily absorbed. It is meant to rebalance the skin that has been dehydrated and over-heated. This product is slightly different to Soltan after sun, it can be easy to confuse the two if you're in a hurry, but the way I remember is that this one, the one with the tanning agent is in a squeezy bottle, similar to the style of a tube of tooth past, but only bigger. The basic after sun is in the bottle similar to most other sun protective creams, an up-right bottle. But they are both blue. Boots also do an after sun with insect repellant, also handy if your allergic. --My experience of Soltan Aftersun-- I chose the aftersun with the tan maximiser as I wanted somthing that was going to help me improve my tan, especially during the first few days as i take a while to get any kind of real colour, then it is usually time to come home again.
