Disadvantages: Very remote - a few more tavernas would be advantageous, the seabed was covered in seaweed

...My partner and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday staying at the Hotel Coral in Skala Rachoni, Thassos. We booked with Thomsons Holidays as a last minute package deal, although this hotel can be booked independently. We stayed for a week during the school holidays from July 22nd to July 29th 2007. THE LOCATION and FACILITIES The hotel is literally 180 metres from the sea (less than 5 minutes walk) and is set within beautiful olive groves with a spectacular mountain backdrop. The small resort centre of Skala Rachoni is about 1km away along the seafront, and the village of Rachoni is 4km inland. There is plenty of parking available at the hotel and a lovely swimming pool with pool bar. The swimming pool, which is a decent size, is set within the olive groves and so the surroundings are totally peaceful. My only gripe... Read review

Advantages: Typical mad Coral

...This band can't stop churning out albums can they? This is their 4th in less than 3 years! If you read my 'Nightfreak & Sons of Becker' review then you'll get an idea of who The Coral are etc. Another track by tracker for you all to enjoy: She Sings The Mourning: Poor spelling, or a play on words? Who knows? Either way it gets the album off to a fine start. Lots of odd noises and lyrics that I don't have a clue as to what they mean but you want to sing along to it and you should. It's a top tune. In what seems like a mini solo the song goes completely mental with god knows what going on, typical Coral! My only problem with is that it sounds like it can be bigger and better but perhaps that is saved for live shows. 8/10. Cripples Crown: This is a bit of a laidback song, with guitars clipping inbetween lyrics, quite haunting... Read review

...Background Information. The distillers, a punk band from Australia have released 3 albums. There first album was self titled released in 2000 since then they have realised a more well known album, Sing Sing Death House (2002) was pushed more under the lime light as they started to become more known. So now with there third album, Coral Fang (2003) is amazing. The Distillers are getting more and more publicity ,so set the trend because they're going to get much bigger. With Brody's unique vocals burning throughout the entire album. Track List: 1) DRAIN THE BLOOD This song makes the album start with a bang. This song is racy and upbeat. ...Coral Bay is a beautiful place to visit. The sea is clean and a clear blue. When I was there in June 2005, I stayed in my apartment which is situated only down the road from Coral Bay in a small place called Peiya. Every day we drove into Coral Bay which took only five minutes. There are lots of water sports available on the beach, such as para-gliding, scuba diving, glass boat trips (which is a must), jet skis, banana rides, water skis, speed boat hiring, pedaloes, windsurfing and lessons and canoeing. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink just up the road from the beach. In the evening we went to a taverna and bar where there was a pool table for the kids and the owners let them play on this free of charge. The people there were very polite and generous. Coral Bay, also, have a few shops which do come in handy... Read review

...Cyprus is an island in the southern mediterean, just off the Egyptian coast, being divided into touristy Greek Cyprus and Turkish Cyprus (which is mostly a military base). I went to Cyprus on a cycling holiday and it was an absolute nightmare to get the bikes, we waited 45 minutes after everyone else had left the new (but very barren and not very comfortable) arrival lounge. The bikes eventually appeared to fell off the plane, as we found later in the holiday that they arrived with various damage. Larnaca is the location of the main airport in Cyprus, located close to the party town of Ayia Napa but 90 minute slow bus ride away from the Coral Beach Hotel and Resort, Paphos. The country appears to be very dusty, sparse in population except for the large hotel resorts and the ubiquitous half built villa's that seem to be found... Read review

...Just who exactly are The Coral? Well, truth be told, I had not heard of them until The Invisible Invasion was released in the summer. The line-up of the band is as follows: James Skelly - guitar / vocals Ian Skelly - drums Nick Power - organ / vocals Bill Ryder-Jones - guitar / trumpet Lee Southall - guitar / vocals Paul Duffy - bass / sax John Duffy - Percussion The Coral blend indie, rock and ridiculous music to make a catchy brand of music. In just three years they have put out four albums. Albeit that most of them tend to be poorly produced. The one I am about to review is a limited edition album. Enjoy... I happen to be seeing The Coral tomorrow night! Last Sunday, I thought I would just get this album to boost my Coral knowledge if you will. Just £2.46 (not sure if I should say where) was an absolute bargain... Read review

...Dominican Republic - Juan Dolio - Coral Costa Caribe I came to the Coral Costa Caribe with my (now ex) boyfriend when we were both 19. We found the hotel was excellent. We loved the 24 hours all inclusive, the gardens of the hotel were lovely and the room was spacious with 2 double beds. Our room was very clean and was cleaned regularily. The food was nice but I cant remember much of what they had because its now over 2 years ago that I went. The resort of Juan Dolio itself I didn't see much of. There were only another few hotels in this resort so it wasn't catered well for tourists - which is great if that is what you want. But the hotel offered different sport to entertain you during the day - there was tennis courts, crazy golf, aqua aerobics, volley ball and other stuff. The staff at the hotel were very... Although this sounds pretty sad, i think that its a lot easier to have the uniform and know what i am going to wear the next day for work than having to rush about on the morning finding anything clean and ironed. The uniform itself is pretty crappy - Its basically a blue shirt with the lovely coral badge printed on it, and another one sewn onto the sleeve with 'coral.co.uk' written on it. Along with these covers there are brilliant live versions of the artist's own songs, Basment Jaxx' chilled out Romeo, Queen's of The Stoneage do a fantastic acoustic version of no-one knows with brilliant cockiness during 'the hard part'. A simply wonderful C.D. to own which many Radio 1 listeners snapped up as soon as it hit the stores. It also has a personal feel to it, like you're in the room with the artists, sharing their jokes and giggling along with them.
