...Having bought this some months ago I can give a decent review of it. This is a cordless optical mouse (ps/2 or USB), which has its own base unit for automatic recharging. In other words there are 2 rechargeable batteries in the mouse which recharge simply by placing the mouse on its unit. If you dont place the mouse in its base, the batteries will last about a week, so as long as you leave it overnight at least once a week it's fine. The main thing I would say about this mouse is that it is fairly weighty. Obviously you're not having to pick it up so it's not a big issue, but it's definately not lightweight. It slides around your mat very easily, and I find it much more responsive and accurate than my old mini optical mouse. The difference is amazing. ...I have been in the market for a couple of months for a cordless mouse but have been a little put off by the things I have read on them ie pointer lag (pointer not moving as quick has it should when mouse is moved) and just generally not performing as good as a corded mouse. Well you can forget all that with the Logitech MX 1000 laser mouse.The movement is as smooth as a corded mouse,although I have to say the mouse I had before this was a Logitech corded mouse and the MX1000 is smoother than that.The MX1000 has fast RF transmission,what this means is there is none of the drawbacks that are associated with cordless mice such as mouse lag. ...My somewhat ancient Microsoft Internet keyboard and mouse are starting to get a bit long in the tooth. The mouse's ball has gone a bit strange and the keyboard is looking rather grubby and being wired rather than wireless, sometimes gets caught up as I move it about. It was upgrade time. The replacement of choice turned out to be the Logitech Cordless Desktop 510. The Logitech Cordless Desktop S510 consists of three items, the keyboard, mouse and wireless transmitter plus of course the driver CD. OK, four items. The Logitech Cordless S510 keyboard's main selling point is its slim profile - around 1cm and this is why I bought it - it looks really, really sexy. ...This is without doubt the best cordless drill I've ever seen in this price range. I moved house earlier this year. My new house needed quite a lot of work, so I thought I would invest in a cordless drill / screwdriver. I already have a power drill but it's inconvenient having to plug it in wherever you go. I looked at (and tried out) quite a few drills before I settled on the HP188FSB Firestorm. It has a 18V battery and charger - which makes it more than powerful enough for most drilling tasks. I would recommend going for as high a voltage as possible - anything less than 14V will struggle to drill into brickwork. This drill flies through brick, cement, even thick concrete - no problem. I stumbled across the Morphy and Richards cordless hair straigheners whilst browsing through my Argos catologue. As soon as I saw them, I wanted them, they were the first type of cordless straigheners I had seen and the thought of not having to worry about a cable really appealed to me. The reason why they appealed to me is because there is no plug socket near my rather tiny mirror in the bedroom, having cordless straigheners means that I can style my hair in the bathroom, in front of my rather large mirror. ...and the keyboard did nothing. I was immediately a little bit concerned that maybe it wasn’t compatible with Windows XP, but a quick look in the manual revealed a red note: COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS XP. Phew…. So then I read the manual. I don’t usually read the manual before installing a piece of hardware, but I admit that in this case my 6 years of PC experience didn’t prepare me for the installation of this. The manual solved my problem, I had to press a little “connect” button on the underside of the keyboard and mouse which told them to communicate with the computer. Once I’d done that it worked fine without any extra software required. However, there is some “iTouch” software provided which can be installed to improve the experience, and set what certain shortcut keys do, such as a small “thumb-button” on the side of the mouse. ...My keyboard was still in working order, so why did I get a cordless keyboard and mouse? Simple, I thought it would take at least some of those annoying wired away from my desktop. When the logitech cordless keyboard and mouse arrived, I soon set it up which was really easy! Initially I found that the little box that you have to recieve signals from your keyboard/mouse kept falling off the desk. However, this was soon remedied, by placing it on a none moving desk top! The accuracy of the mouse is excellent.The mouse has a roll up button in the middle, and an extra button at the side, which can be set to do anything you want (mine is set for pasting). However, this (the quick button on the mouse) can be a disadvantage at times when like-you are typing a letter and paste in a load of html or similar. But like I said this button... Read review

...I've got to say, right up front, that mouse and keyboard cables don't bother me. Sure, mouse cables can occasionally snag in the middle of a hectic game, and the keyboard curly cord is one more cable in the mess behind my computer, but really, I'm OK with it. It's not a problem. I'm happy. Getting the Cordless Desktop going is simple enough. The receiver's five foot colour-coded leads terminate in PS/2 connectors, and there are adaptors included for a standard 5 pin DIN connector for the keyboard and a 9 pin serial plug for the mouse. So you should be able to hook up the receiver to any IBM compatible. Overall the main disadvantage of the keyboard is the feel it has. I especially found the keys hard to press when typing, maybe this has a limit to how fast you can type, I am not sure. However if people are able to put up... Read review

...being tied to my old mouse for a few years i was rather reluctant to let him go.But go it had to as time moves on so does one,s speed and a CORDLESS WHEEL MOUSE now has the spot of my tied in one to say that it is almost as good an invention as the Wheel it self would be going over the top. If you have any doubt about switching over and find like me you are attached to your old mouse. just put your index finger on the wheel and you get the chance to stroke your mouse.
