Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 / 2.33 GHz processor
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 / 2.33 GHz processor by
mop591
Advantages: Very fast, cheap
Disadvantages: need to have IT expereince
...This intel dual core processor with 2.33Ghz speed (total speed of 4.6Ghz) with a 4MB Cache can handle an awful lot of demanding programs runnning at once, obviously it has its limits, but for the price its a very good processor. This processor is also compatable with 64 bit computing.
It has an LGA775 Socket which is compatable with most of the new motherboards if you are looking to upgrade or build your own pc. If you are looking to buy a processor i would highly recommend this one or several similar ones, but you need to have IT experience and know what you are doing before paying out for one of these. It comes with a 3 year limited warrenty so it is really set to last....

Advantages: fast
Disadvantages: hard to think of one
...This intel dual core processor with 2.4Ghz speed (total speed of 4.8Ghz) with a 2MB Cache can handle an awful lot of demanding programs runnning at once and for the amazingly low price its a very good processor. This processor is also compatable with 64 bit computing.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750/ 2.66ghz
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 / 2.66 GHz processor by
mazuk88
Advantages: Fast clock speed / Good amount of lvl2 cache
Disadvantages: Could balance out workload onto both cores a bit more
...This processor is a fairly mid-high spec for core 2 duo range it delivers some great performance for a good price.
This cpu can handle a lot of multi-tasking along with playing powerful games. Usually i can run a defragmentation and notice it hardly at all i can play games and play music with no problem it just makes desktop computing so easy.
As you may know this is an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 / 2.66ghz cpu, It has 2 cores on the one chip. it runs with 64-bit architecture which then opens up a whole new world of 64-bit operating systems for tommorows technolodgy...this along with the fact it has 4mb lvl2 cache makes superfast repsonse rates to programs and files i have also noticed that their are not so many "cache misses" to which i expected so this pleases me the most :D
The only downside is that i have noticed that core utilization...

D 925
Review of Intel Pentium D 925 / 3 GHz processor by
Shah_H
Advantages: Cheap, Fast.
Disadvantages: Heat, Old Generation
...I bought this processor a few months ago. I always had a good experience with Intel and once more I enjoyed their offering. This processor is a decent performer running at 3 GHz. It can fit in any motherboard having LGA775 socket. It is based on 65 nm manufacturing technology. And for sure it is dual core!
Architecture Features:
Enhanced SpeedStep technology, streaming SIMD extensions 2, streaming SIMD extensions 3, Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology, Execute Disable Bit capability
This processor runs at 3 GHz. It has decent FSB of 800 MHz. It is equipped with 2 MB l2 cache per core which means a total of 4 MB cache.
The power requirements of this processor are a bit higher than those of the newer Core 2 Duo processors but still they are not that high. The processor heats up a bit, so, take care of the airflow across the processor...

i am more then happy with this
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 / 2.2 GHz processor by
smitty91
Advantages: sheer speed and reliability
Disadvantages: none that i can see performance wise
...i have had this for a few months now and all i can say is WOW what a difference this has made to the performance of my system, going from single core, 3.6GHz to this has made one hell of a performance boost, and as a result i can play pretty much anything now, without having to worry about burning the processor out while it is trying to keep up with the rest of my components.
it's not everyday that i come across a product that can suprise me when it comes to computers yet this has done just that and for the price i would definetly recommend anyone looking for a perfomance boost and are on a budget when it comes to upgrading their PC this processor will more then perform for the price no matter the system....

The Baby with Monster Attitude
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 / 1.86 GHz processor by
sirusvirus
Advantages: Incredible performance and Extremely overclockable
Disadvantages: Overclockers will need an expensive motherboard to gain the best results
...The E6300 is the cheapest of Intel's Core 2 Duo's with an average price range of around £120 and runs at a steady 1.86Ghz with 2 physical cores and a FSB of 1,066MHZ.
Now before I loose you in techno jargon I will explain what the E6300 basically is. The E6300 is Intels baby CPU from there new(ish) line of Core 2 Duos, although far from a baby this new dawn in Core architecture's, enables the processors to run faster, cooler and more efficently than ever before.
Intels Core architecture has created a greater core efficency, allowing the cores to run at lower frequencies than standard processors which use the Net-Burst Architecture.
This means that computers using the Core 2 Duo's, will experience a greater efficency when using them. Wether running games, applications, music, videos, streaming live videos, online gambling or all...

E4400
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 / 2 GHz processor by
safari004
Advantages: Overclockibility, Price
Disadvantages: None
...Recently I felt badly that I should upgrade my PC from P4, that I have got , to Core 2 Duo. So, I did it. I planned to build the PC myself. I researched about the necessary parts and finally made a list of components to buy.
I ordered all the components in which Intel Core 2 duo E4400 was also included. I preferred E4400 for a number of reasons, which I will discuss below.
Firstly, this processor is very good on the pocket. As I have limited amount of budget, I preferred it over the other slightly expensive core 2 duos.
Secondly, this processor is a great overclocker. As my plan was to overclock the processor, so, I choose this little overclocking beauty.
This processor, due to 800 FSB and clock multiplyer of 10, is very overclocking friendly. With a decent motherboard one can easily achieve 3 GHz mark, with slight voltage adjustment...

Cheap core duo based processor
Review of Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 / 1.6 GHz processor by
neo1983
Advantages: Price, price, stability, can be overclocked, did I noticed price
Disadvantages: average performer
...This is the last based core duo processor, used for the low end market. But this doesn't mean that the processor is weak. I personally use now it's brother E2160 that is a few faster. As a difference from their brothers, the E4000 and the E 6000 family this processor has a smaller L2 cache of only 1 Mb, instead of 2Mb or 4Mb. The performance hit varies from almost 0% (rendering programs, 3dmax) to a full 35% games at the same frequency, but the price is astonishing. 100% RECOMMENDED
Speed: lowest dual core core speed, but enough for all modern aplications, but the processor can be really overclocked...50-90 % with great speed bonuses. Not really recommended for games.
Stability: greatest as all new lintel processors
Power consumption: best power consumption for years. draws about 45-50w at full speed and 12w idle (L2 great stepping...

Value for money
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 / 1.86 GHz processor by
ghost101
Advantages: Performance and features
Disadvantages: Lower cache and clock speed than its bigger brothers
...The Core 2 Duo E6300 is the slowest processor out of the Core 2 Duo range (until Intel releases the E4300). However, dont let this fool you into believing that the performance of the processor will be poor. The new Core 2 Duo range of processors are cutting-edge and most people agree that it is the best processor out on the market. I certainly believe this, because my personal experience of the Core 2 Duo is simply that of raw performance.
The Core 2 Duo is Intel's answer to AMDs dual core processors. And quite simply, it is better. If you are buying or making a pc today, unless you have a specific reason not to, Core 2 Duo is a must.
The E6300 is clocked at 1.86ghz with an fsb of 1066mhz. It has 2MB L2 cache with technologies inclucing EM64T, VT, SSE3, Execute Bit.
What does all this mean?
- 1.86ghz refers to the speed...

E2180 pentium dual core CPU
Review of Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180 / 2 GHz processor by
dav1d_gogs73
Advantages: Cheap, Powerfull
Disadvantages: Small L2 cache
...This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now.
It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. Even the programs that heavily use CPU power are done with ease on this powerful little processor, all down to its 2 cores. As for heat, obviously depending on case cooling and heat-sink fan, its not too bad. In my computer i have 3 additional 80cm fans for cooling as well as the heat-sink fan and im peaking at 45 degrees Celsius.
The only disadvantage i can see with the CPU would be the L2 cache size. At only 1GB its not as fast as the Core 2 Duo CPU's but at this price its...
