...When we were first having our child, I was blinded by the range that was out there. It was very hard to decide what would be best to spend money on and it all seemed so expensive. I've admitted before that Im very keen on baby equipment and I had always know that my mum had a Silver Cross Pram for me, so hearing the name made me think 'yeah, this is a brand to respect' We chose a Silver Cross Ventura carseat for one of our cars and a Graco for the other. If we were going back in time we certainly wouldnt buy two infant carriers, but we were a little clueless! Of the two that we had the Silver Cross Ventura was by far my favourite. There are many reasons for this, but above all I found it very warm and snuggly for a newborn. It does have its issues too, but I found myself inclined to chose this over the Graco despite these. Life's one big Ventura!

Advantages: Fits onto all Silver Cross Pushchairs, light, easy to use
Disadvantages: No ISO fit, canopy is not the best fit.

...We bought the Silver Cross Ventura Car seat to go with the Silver cross Pram we bought for our baby girl. The car seat fits onto the chassis of all Silver cross prams, making it a really nice travel system too. Makes it much easier when you are going out into town, as you don't have to take the pram body, just fold the chassis up and stick it in the boot of the car! The Ventura Car seat comes in all the same colour ways as the prams do, so it matches in well. We bought it in Sienna, which is a lovely beige and check pattern, which is ideal for either a boy or a girl. Ace Ventura - Pet Detective Review

Advantages: Incredibly funny

...Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is directed by Tom Shadyac and stars Jim Carrey and Courtney Cox. When this came out in 1994, Carrey was a virtual unknown. This film, coupled with "The Mask" and "Dumb & Dumber" propelled him to super-stardom. Jim Carrey stars as the titular detective who is put on a case to find a missing dolphin named Snowflake; the Miami Dolphin's mascot to be more specific. Along the way, he uncovers more than he ever imagined and gets into all sorts of scrapes involving Sharks, guns and women! Advantages: Affordable, massive range of tools, accepts many Photoshop plugins, easy to learn

...Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls is the sequel to the hugely successful "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective". It again stars Jim Carrey as the titular pet detective, this time with a much more different case! As we find Ace, he has retired, and spends his time in a Himalayan monostry. He can't forgive himself for letting an animal die (in a great spoof of "Cliffhanger") but is coaxed back onto another case. He travels to Africa, to find to find the sacred bat of the Wachati and Wachootoo Tribes. He must do so before the tribes go to war with each other, will he be able to do it in time? I love my Ventura car seat!

Advantages: Use with Silver Cross chassis, hard-wearing, easily adjustable
Disadvantages: Can be heavy!

...I bought my Ventura car seat as I had a Silver Cross Classic Sleepover, and was very glad I did. It clips onto the chassis for short trips out, and comes with a very snuggly cosy toes and sun/wind/rain canopy, together with a 'headhugger' for small babies. The straps are easily adjustable and nicely padded, and can be removed for washing. The cover can also be removed for washing. The straps can be adjusted to a second setting as your baby gets bigger. The seat can be used as a rocker/indoors chair if you want. I will say that the seat seemed heavy to carry (but that could have been my baby!) so I always used it with the chassis rather than just hooking it over my arm as I've seen some Mums do with their baby carriers. ...Corel Linux has received some fairly good reviews, and was marketed as 'Linux for beginners'. Not being much of an expert myself, I tried installing it. The install went OK, with an impressive-looking graphical installation program. But once I actually got into using it, I was rather unimpressed. Although the supplied KDE window manager was easy to use, I was underwhelmed at the amount and scope of programs provided. It was the basics, and certainly nothing more. It also seemed to be missing most of the useful configuration tools you usually get, both graphical and command-line based. This is a bit of a blow to any user, especially a beginner like me. I don't want to be forced to edit configuration files manually in order to get my soundcard and modem to work, just because Corel can't be bothered to install a program that...
