...What is the ATC? The Air Training Corps is A youth organistation which allow youngsters aged 13-20 to get the experience of discipline and the chance to make friends. It is a great way to build confidence. There are over 1,000 squadrons in britain. mine is 1123 hooton park Squadron. You have the ability to earn ranks at you cadets (Corpral, Sergeant and Flight Sergeant) when you reach 20 you are able to apply to be an adult instuctor. Blast Corps

Advantages: Great fun good gameplay
Disadvantages: Gets slightly repetitive after time

...Blast Corps was one of the games released for the launch of the N64 and it was completely over shadowed by the likes of Mario 64. The game in volves clearing the path for a truck with a nuclear bomb opn the back of it. This is done by the player who has the control of a bulldozer for the majority of the game but other vehicles are available during the game. You must slide you vehicle into buildings bringing them crashing to the ground and allowing the truck safely through the area. Doind this requires a good technique as well as being fast fingered too. You may find yourself failing missions hoplessly when you begin to play Blast Corps but soon you'll get the hang of it. The gameply is the major strength of Blast Corps and while the game does have good graphics and sound these don't rally matter because its so fun to play. Smashing...

Advantages: Gives you a hell of a lot of opportunities
Disadvantages: You must be comitted!

...I am a cadet in the Air Training Corps, and have been for a long time. Basically, it is a uniformed youth organisation sponsored by the RAF for young people who feel they want to enter into a career in the Royal Air Force. It gives you lots of amazing opportunities such as Flying, Gliding, Shooting, Field Activities, Sports and many others. You are issued with a uniform and progress up the ranks and classifications through exams and learning skills you are taught, such as Aircraft Propulsion, Handling and Navigation. Discipline plays a large part in the ATC, and your personal appearance. Cadets are given several opportunities to attend different camps at RAF stations every year. ...The Air Training Corps is in my opinion the best youth organisation that exists. It offers young people opportunities that just aren't available anywhere else. What is the ATC The ATC is a youth organisation for young people aged between 13-20 and aims to provide RAF based opportunities to all of its members. ...ENVY CORPS - DWELL REVIEW Introduction to band It was about a year ago I was listening to evening radio when I was captivated by this amazing voice which sounded like something inbetween Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley. Unfortunately it was one of those songs on the radio where they have already announced the song title and artist at the beginning and they went straight into another track; didn't even have time to shazam it. Puzzled, I tried to remember some of the song lyrics and type them into the net to see if it would match up a song but still no luck. A few months late Zane Lowe had Envy Corps in session on his Radio 1 show and sounded absolutely out of this world. Much more exciting than Scouts......

Advantages: Exciting activities, discipline, make friends

...As a child I belonged to many different youth organisations. I tried Brownies and Guides, but thought that the Scouts would have been much more fun, sadly they didn't take girls at that time (they do now). As soon as I was old enough, I joined Venture Scouts, and enjoyed the more adventurous activities offered there, but the organisation I really wanted to join was the Air Training Corps. When I first reached joining age, my local squadron didn't accept girls, but when I was 16 they finally decided to open their doors to those of a female persuasion and I was one of the first intake. I stayed with the squadron until I was 18 (and pregnant with my first child) enjoyed myself immensely, learnt lots of new skills, and now my 14 year old son has just become a cadet himself. ---History of The ATC--- The ATC was originally formed in 1941...

Royal Signals, a Corps for the millenium

Advantages: travel,future training,security
Disadvantages: no definate life planning

...Having served in the Royal Corps of Signals for over 15 years I have seen massive changes in both the soldiers and the technology that they use. When I first joined the discipline was far harsher than it is now, you would not say anything unless spoken to, and then it still might get you into trouble! Nowadays the recruit is far more questioning, which can be a good thing, as long as when the time comes they know when to stop the questions and just do the do! We have a lower level of fitness now as well but this is probably due to the computer generation that is now emerging, the days of playing football as a child seem to be dwindling. As for technology, my corps is now at the forefront of leading edge communications. Gone are most of the cables, and satellite and radio and microwave are the way ahead. All this adds up to a worthwile...
