SRi CORSA takes me for a spin
Advantages: A Lively little bugger somehow packed with 123bhp
Disadvantages: Some depends on you the driver
...(This has been updated)
So, Chunka, why did you buy this car?
Erm, wait, I remember!
Yes, go on,
A Vauxhall Corsa is meant to be a good car!
And.....
Its an SRi,
Well, why buy it?
I took it for a test drive and this is why I brought it.........
First of all let me tell you about how this car handles.
To put it bluntly its like a Go-kart with bold tyres.
Wacking down the 123bhp at say 65-70mph, makes you thank Vauxhall for fitting the Traction Control and ABS to the car.
Driving at these averagly high speeds at the best of times sometimes proves challenging. The car makes you use those handy skills of yours very easily.
Without these fittings to the car I would no doubt be in a car show doing 360's and 180's very easily.
Although this may be a problem to some of you, I find that you get use to...

vaux corsa 1.4 sri
Advantages: good handling.cheap to run.
Disadvantages: expensive to fuel if heavy footed.
...what a great allrounder this car is.this car is one for the boyracers with it being a really good car to tune and modify. you can get a really good throaty sound by adding an induction kit which is an uprated air cleaner for those who dont know.its responsive to drive and really good through the bends with very little body roll.iv seen plenty ov women drivers including my mother and a friends girlfriend owning or driving these cars as they are good for little shopping runs and picking the kids up from nursery its not the most economical on the market but its the best for its performance i would highly advise you to buy 1 of these cars as the new corsa has arrived and these have depreciated so you could grap your self a great bargain!!!!!

2004 Corsa C SRi 1.8 16v
Advantages: Fun, Pratical, Stylish....
Disadvantages: None to be honest!
...After someone crashing into the back of my Mitsubishi Galant V6 & writing it off, I was looking for a replacement car.
I already own a 52 reg Corsa C SXi 1.2 16v but wanted similar power to the Galant, thats when I saw the 1.8 SRi & fell in love with it instantly.
I bought a SRi 2004 1.8 in Ultra Blue for £6995 with 15k on the clock.
First looks of the SRi:
Looks very sporty but very under rated in my opinion & looks can be deceiving when it comes to the performance of this car.
Driving the SRi:
The SRi is a great car to drive, you can drive as normal getting great mpg (35) & comfort all day long.
But when you want the evil, fun side of the SRi............Simply put the foot down and the fun begins.
The acceleration is unbelievable of this little car, mines is 7.5s 0-60mph, Top speed is 130+mph
Driving at high speeds is...

Cool and Classy Corsa
Advantages: Small but perfectly formed
Disadvantages: None
...If you?d asked me six months ago, what car I have, I would have replied:
?A blue one.?
Now if you ask the same question, you?d get something along the lines of:
?A 3 door Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Sxi with twin airbags?.?
Admittedly, I am not an expert on speed, revs per minute (or whatever they are) or abs (I thought that was some sort of muscle in your stomach), but since taking ownership of my beloved Corsa, I have become a lot more interested in cars in general.
I started looking for a replacement for my annoying Ford Fiesta, after the gearbox seized up on the way to an important meeting. I did some research and asked around at work for any ideas for a small, nippy car. Two of my friends recommended the Corsa, while others recommended the Toyota Yaris and the Ford Ka.
So off I went, spending all my weekends trawling...

Beruwela (Sri Lanka)
Advantages: Very Hot, Lovely Beach
Disadvantages: Touts, Poverty, Mosquitos
...We have recently come back from Beruwela (Sri Lanka).
We flew from Heathrow on Sri Lankan Air Lines. The flight it self was nearly 10 hours but made as comftable as possible.
On each seat was TV screen, the various channels included 3 film channels, comedy channel and also a channel where you could map out the journey.
The meal service was first class. Food was Sri Lankan food and you had a choice of meals so suitable for any taste. Compimentry drinks included.
Downside when arriving at the airport lookout for the porters wearing orange BIBS, if they help with baggage they expect english money. My experience included one porter taking to meeting point and another trying to take bags to bus pick up point and another trying to load on the bus.
The air conditioned minibus journey to Beruwela took approx 4 hours. The driver was...

Of Corsa it has to be a Vauxhall!
Advantages: Stylish car, nippy for a diesel, comfortable interior
Disadvantages: Gears quite stiff, suspension.
...We bought a new Vauxhall Corsa CDTi last September. Having looked at several different types of Corsa, we eventually opted for the 5 door CDTi Design (diesel).
Looks and Interior
Since its original launch in 1992, Vauxhall Corsa has evolved quite considerably. The latest models look sporty, stylish and nippy, with upmarket interiors and intelligent key features.
There are quite a few colours to choose from in the new Design range. These are as diverse as 'Flame Red' and 'Sunny Melon' to the simple 'Glacier White'. We chose a more neutral colour with the 'Metro Blue' variety, but there is certainly something for every taste.
Our car comes with 16 inch alloy wheels as standard and benefits from smart leather trim seating inside and leather-trim steering wheel. Vauxhall have put a lot of thought into making interiors...

Galle - Sri Lanka
Advantages: valued experiences
Disadvantages: No
...I am going to explain my experience in Galle. I went on a trip to Galle with my friends. We took "Ruhunu Kumari" train. It was operated through the coastal area. Scenery was so beautiful and we enjoyed very much. The beaches are very beautiful. There were few tourists in the train. You have to realize how beautiful Galle is. You can see fishermen sitting on sticks fishing in the see along the south coast. It is a strange technique of fishing. Nobody knows how this technique originated from. It works as the stilts are attractive sceneries. You can catch a glimpse of the famouse stilt fishermen in the down south. You are lucky as such a sight is nowhere to be found in Sri Lanka. Stilt fishing is famous as a generational occupation among the fishermen with the child taking after father. They make their own stilts on the reef...

My Corsa
Advantages: There are lots of standard items, Sporty look, Quite powerful for a small car
Disadvantages: none
...I am on my 3rd Corsa in 4 years. I wanted one newer and more powerful. The one i have got now is a Sport 1.4L 16V. I got it in September 2000 (brand new) and it cost me £12,000 with 2 years free insurance. This model is no longer made, the equivalent is the Corsa SRi.
All the items i list come as standard on this model. It's got sports seats, which i find very comfy, a rear spoiler and sports exhaust. 3-spoke alloy wheels which have locking nuts for security. Other security features include an immobiliser, alarm and central deadlocking. It's got a sports suspension and there is a drivers airbag.
It's got power steering (as most new cars have now), a CD player, air-conditioning, electric windows and electric door mirrors. I like the air-conditioning especially with the warm weather we have in the summer. Also i like the electric...

A Corsa's for life, not just for Christmas....
Advantages: Economical, nice looking cars, popular, small enough for a first car, surprisingly "nippy"!
Disadvantages: None that I have found so far.
...deal but most seemed to be for drivers over 21 years of age. I'm 20 which meant I'd have to wait till November 8th before I could claim these. There was no way I could wait that long to get a car! However, dad continued looking/asking around and found that Vauxhall offered the deal for people aged over 19. In fact it was great timing as Vauxhall was just embarking on their free insurance deals on Corsa's (a car I actually liked!).
So that was that. I was to buy a Corsa. Or rather my dad was to buy it for me and I'm to pay him back over x number of years to suit my income. (My dads nice like that) :-)
So, enough of the background info. Onto the scary bit. This is the bit when I actually have to talk about the car itself. EEK! I don't know the first thing about engines or anything like that so I may make the worlds worst car...
