Guitar on a budget.
Advantages: cheap, starter guitar
Disadvantages: cheap-looking finish, small
...the fretboard, it was easy to reach each fret on each string, but the neck was really very thin.
The guitar appeared to constructed from good materials, it did not appear flimsy or rickety, and the main body appeared to be of a good thickness. It is said to be a solid top, which is a bonus.
The headstock of the guitar was nice, with good metal machineheads for ease of tuning.
The name of this guitar includes the word 'jumbo'. I'm not entirely sure why this is, as it is not a very big guitar. It is meant to be a standard dreadnought (medium size) guitar, but was quite a bit smaller than many other guitars in the shop.
In the end, I went for a different guitar (a Fender DG-5, I would write a review for that too but there is no category for it on here), because I wanted a guitar with a bit more substance, a bit more ring, and nicer looking...

Review of Yamaha F310 Jumbo Acoustic Guitar

a perfect first guitar
Advantages: high quality, good price
Disadvantages: the CD is unpleasant
...I was a person who had just finished school; and I had definitely needed to learn something. I had thus decided to buy a Guitar. I bought the Yamaha acoustic F310 for a reasonable whole Argos price of £100, I chose this one because it was rated as a very good beginner guitar. The rating I had recieved on my computer on a page called about.com top 5 begginer acoustics. F3100 is number 2.
I would be 18 years and before I buyed the F310 I would have never held a guitar before in my life so I did not have an absolute idea how to play it. It was thus by practicing and experimenting for many hours on the Guitar every day and playing along with each other guitar instrument, the best that I could; By doing this it were thus sought that I would beome a good guitarist and musician. To put the review of this particular guitar more simply...

Yamaha F310 Guitar, Starter Package.
Advantages: Easy to learn on, good size.
Disadvantages: Only six spare strings.
...really, its a shame they dont give you more string as nearly all have been broken in just a few months by constant practising and tuning. This is the only downfall of the whole package, but for the price we can live with it. This is not really a 'jumbo' guitar, I supose it is a little larger than one you would buy if you were really good, but it is alot smaller than her first guitar. Even i couldn't get to all the strings, they were so spaced out and the neck was a tad long. No problems wih the Yamaha though, all strings are easy to get to and you can cover much more space on the neck quicker.
The CD....
Remembering that this is an acoustic guitar we were surprised to hear an electric guitar playing all the tracks on the cd!! Infact the cd was useless, there was no way to play along, the electric guitar sounds completely different and we...

Superb guitar for beginners
Advantages: High quality for price, durable
Disadvantages: Accompanying book is of little use
...I have had my F 310 now for over two years and would be delighted to recommend it as a first, or even second acoustic guitar.
The start up package that I got all those years ago (2 years seems like an age ago now somehow) included the Yamaha F 310 acoustic guitar, beginner songbook and an accompanying CD.
The guitar itself is of a high quality for the price, and I'm pretty sure that it's the UK's premier selling acoustic guitar at the moment. It is not difficult to see why, with a warm and potentially powerful tone, this is a quality bit for kit for the price paid.
Admittedly this guitar cannot compare to the top ranged guitars both aesthetically and in terms of tone, but if you want to save a cool £5k, you can't complain really! The guitar is beautiful enough, as a matter of fact, with quality steel gear heads to ensure ease...

Mumbo Jumbo Or Just Plain Good Value?
Advantages: Good Selection Of Food, Value For Money
Disadvantages: Not A Lot For Vegetarians
...The last few years have seen a trend of "All you can eat" style Buffet Restaurants appearing in Sheffield where I live and to my knowledge there are now at least three Chinese and one Indian within the city centre.
The Jumbo is a large Chinese Buffet and it was the also the first of the bunch to appear about three years ago. It is in direct competition with another Chinese Buffet nearby called No.1 which is larger.
I have been to the No.1 a couple of times but I much prefer the Jumbo which I have visited many times, the most recent of these visits being just a couple of weeks ago.
THE LAYOUT
The Restaurant is situated on two different levels with a small Bar area located just inside the doorway.
The food is located at the back at of the room on the ground level, with the tables positioned in front of this area. Whilst...

...Despite that over the years I have amassed a sizeable collection of video games for various games consoles; very few of those games have had me more anxious to purchase them than ?Guitar Hero 5?. Even though it has only been a short time since the release of their best of game ?Guitar Hero: Smash Hits? the wait for the games was next to unbearable for me.
Finally the release date of 11th September rolled around and my then newly purchased Rock Band: Beatles found its self taking a backseat even though I had only just purchased it two days beforehand on ?Beatles Day?.
How to Rock
So for all of you who have never experienced this fantastic gaming series and genre here is a brief explanation as to what it?s all about. Basically the game revolves around you press various buttons in time to a pattern of dots that move along...

El Corte Ingles Store Restaurant, Malaga
Advantages: Very convenient when shopping
Disadvantages: Not exactly a scenic location but that is not why its there.
...I ate lunch here with my wife and two friends in October 07 We were there because we were shopping at El Corte Ingles, which beyond doubt is the superior supermarket chain in Spain.
The service was quick, the waiter was attentive and the food was as good and comprehensive as the menu suggested. The menu itself consisted of typical Spanish fare, tenera (Calf) beef, various cuts of pork,a wide selection of fish, soups and salads, nothing that I remember in great detail, but what I do remember was the overall high quality of the food that was served up to me and my companions.
Do you ever get that feeling when the food arrives at the table and your mind says either "wow, I think I'm really going to enjoy this," or "Oh no, I wish I'd chosen to eat someowhere else."
Well they had the wow factor but not over the top. I recall my bass...

From guitar zero to Guitar Hero
Advantages: Portable, new songs
Disadvantages: Awkward to press all the buttons, bruises your hand!
...Being an avid fan of the previous Guitar Hero games, my name was one of the first on the pre-order list. My little bundle of joy arrived through my letter box yesterday morning (the day after the release date) delivered from HMV.com with free delivery, totalling £26.99 (with student discount).
In the box, you get the add-on part with the coloured buttons that you insert into the GameBoy Advance slot on your DS, a seperate attachement that you have to use if you are using an old style DS, a plectrum stylus, the game catridge, a game case, two sticker sheets and the instructions - though don't ask me what they say, I figured I would work everything out along the way.
The add-on part comes with an adjustable velcro strap so that every size of hand will fit. When you have connected it to the DS, put the game in and turned on the DS...

Time to Break Out the Guitar
Advantages: Rocking out to the greatest songs of all time | Great graphics for those watching
Disadvantages: Could use some more songs | More unlockable / purchasble content
...Difficulty: Medium
Learning Curve: 30 - 60 minutes
Who would of thought it, a game where you could play as a lead guitarist be so ridiculously addictive and fun? Guitar Hero hits this game right on the gaming industry nail. Even such an idea of a game must of made them think this would be an instant hit, who needs the thrill of their garage band and trying to make it big with their friends when they can just play this?
Guitar Hero allows you to play several famous songs, including Ace of Spades, I Love Rock and Roll, I Wanna Be Sedated, Iron Man, More Then a Feeling and even the legendary Ziggy Stardust!
How you play this rocking game? You will need to purchase a guitar hero guitar (which you can get in a bundle with the game itself), with this, you plug it in a rock out to the tunes. You use five frets, a strum bar...
