...MOZART - COSI FAN TUTTE - KARJAN EMI PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW SO I CAN IMPROVE MY REVIEWS IN THE FUTURE!!! When critics line up the best available recordings of Mozart's superb comic opera "Così fan tutte" two recordings are almost invariably up there, Karl Böhm's second recording from 1962 (EMI - Stereo) and Herbert von Karajan's recording from 1954 (EMI - Mono). The remarkable Elisabeth Schwarzkopf is present in both recording as the charming Fiordiligi. I prefer her fresher voice in 1954 but she, like the other artists in the Böhm recording, benefit from the fresh stereo sound. One of the glories of the gramophone is Schwarzkopf, Merriman and Bruscantini in "Soave sia il vento" - simply breathtaking as regards phrasing, beauty of tone and the organic feeling to the ensemble. Advantages: One of the best Ferrando's on disc
Disadvantages: Overpriced

...looking for a library addition for yourself, I would recommend the Schwarzkopf/Ludwig recording under Karl Bohm, or if you prefer something more modern sounding (I know that Schwarzkopf can be an acquired taste?), go for the Amanda Roocroft/Rosa Manion recording under John Eliot Gardiner, which is roughly contemporary with the recording I?m reviewing here (both of these other recordings are available at around the £25 mark). IS IT GOOD VALUE? Hell no. My final words on the subject. IS IT WORTH BORROWING FROM THE LIBRARY? I?d never say any recording of anything WASN?T worth borrowing from the library. It?s an interesting early career bit of Renee Fleming, an equally interesting bit of late career Solti, and a why isn?t he the ?fourth tenor? bit of singing from Frank Lopardo. Cosi little seat!

Advantages: Comfortable, safe

...I was recommended to buy this car seat by a friend and now I can see why they rated it so highly. Which magazine have rated Maxi Cosi as one of their safest car seats and it's been a great buy for us. The seat itself is very well padded and comes with a head hugger which has extra padding on it which is velcroed on. You easily detach this once your baby has out grown it. The head hugger is really great though for when your baby is tiny. It gives that extra comfort and support which a newborn needs. The head hugger stayed in our car seat until our baby was 5 months old. The padding around the rest of the seat is really sound comfortable but not so overly padded that it seems too soft and therefore not safe. When the baby is sat in it it doesn't hunch them up like in other car seats, instead the baby is well supported and has...

Advantages: Very easy to use features. Very cosi for your little one.

...This is an excellent product. Easy to install and very safe for your little precious cargo. You will notice that I have specified this as 12-36 months in age range but I was advised that it suits children from 9 months to 4 years. This car seat is very easy to use as the straps remain connected and in place so you don't have to keep moving them around every time your child gets in or out of the vehicle. It also has a head rest that adjusts the hight of the straps without having to fiddle with them through tiny slats when your child grows a bit bigger. The straps also loosen and tighten very easily by holding down the front clasp you just pull the straps free. Maxi Cosi Make It Maxi Easy At A Maxi Price

Advantages: Makes getting an infant into and out of the car a doddle.

Advantages: Fits Bugaboo Frog Pushchair, Mid-Range Price, Easy to install.
Disadvantages: Strap for tightening harness can be tricky when fitted in car.

Advantages: Easy to fit, easy to clean, compatible with some Quinny systems

...We bought the Maxi-Cosi carseat to use with our Quinny Zapp travel system - lucky for us as otherwise we probably wouldn't have looked at it! Initially this carseat seemed more expensive than some others, but as soon as we investigated in the shops I could certainly see why. It seems to be a higher quality than other, cheaper carseats on the market, with an interesting design that I've never seen elsewhere. There is no assembly or fiddling required - all you need to do when you get this home is have a browse through the instructions, then off you go! Fixing the carseat into your vehicle using a seatbelt is very easy - I tend to be very easily confused (embarrassing but true) but even I find this very straightforward and obvious.
