Hotel Costa Caleta - Didn't Costa Fortune

Advantages: Modern, Clean, Close to amenities and beach.
Disadvantages: Bored with food, poorly staffed in bars,

...My summer holiday of 2008 was spent in Fuerteventura and my hotel of choice was the Hotel Costa Caleta. The hotel is also known by its former name Hotel Ocean Costa Caleta. Address is Av. Alcalde Juan Ramón Soto Morales Caleta de Fuste Fuerteventura Spain Tel:+34-928547550 I'm not sure if the hotel offers any car parking facilities as I hadn't needed any. It's a 3 star rated hotel and is quite modern and situated quite centrally in the resort of Costa Caleta (or Caleta de Fuste, or Castillo as it is also known) Only a short 10-15 mins transfer time from the airport. It has over 300 rooms. It was built in 2005 so is still quite new. The hotel is only about 5-10 mins walk (5km) from the beach and the shops and parks are all nearby too. They do have internet facilities with 2 PC's in the lobby with pay to use internet...

Advantages: everything about the place is an advantage.
Disadvantages: the non smoking policy (for some)

Costa Azul. Waterfont hotel that won't costa lot

Advantages: on the marina waterfront, great view, good vfm.
Disadvantages: you may not get a sea view

...I booked this hotel through Octopustravel and with the intention that it would be easy to get to and from the airport and it would be easy to get to the town from the hotel without much hassle. Both turned out to be very true. We got off the aeroplane at Palma and hopped on the number 1 bus outside the airport -right to the "port" of Palma- the marina. The bus announcement system announces the bus stops as it goes and the fare is minimal- less than 4 euros for two people to where we hopped off. Be sure to smile at the driver and say gracias! As I said, I booked through Octopustravel- a double room for my partner and myself. We presented the voucher at reception and they had a bit of a crisis-asking if we were absolutely sure we wanted a double room. We did. That was what I had booked. So, we got a room that was at the back...

Benalmadena the Costa del Sol

Advantages: Friendly town with lots to do, a lovely holiday.
Disadvantages: If you steer clear of the 'English Bars' there are none

...COSTA DEL SOL Benalmadea Costa, I'm afraid I was always a bit of a 'travel snob' regarding the Costa del Sol. I envisaged the types of scene in TV's Benadorm, a type of Blackpool with sun. As members of a vacation club ( it was then Sunterra now Diamon Resorts) we had the opportunity for a weeks break for relatively few points at the Sahara Sunset in Benalmadea Costa, as we could get Easy Jet airfairs to Malaga for a very low price we decided to try it. We have been three times more since then - so needless to say I was not disappointed. Benalmadena is only 15 kilometers from Malaga Airport, car hire is easily obtainable but it is only 25 euros for a taxi from the airport and there are plenty of excursions and good public transport available in the resort. Advantages: beautiful, lovely weather, port aventura, aquaopolis, day trips to barcelona, cheap, safe area, bonavista market, close to airport
Disadvantages: rush for sunbeds in the morning!

...THE AREA: Costa Dorada, meaning 'the golden coast' is a beautiful area, the small town of Salou is full of interesting shops and is great to just wander round. ACTIVITIES: There is plenty to do, Port Aventura is a MUST, suitable for all ages with spectacular shows and a wide variety of rides, it makes a great day out for all the family, although prepare to stay till late to watch the magnificent fireworks and light display. Day trips to Barcelona are another great day out, although perhaps not so much for young children. Snorkling of off a catamaran in the med was something i particularly enjoyed as this two hour trip was organised by our hotel, however i would recommend going earlier in the morning to avoid the midday heat as well as the midday rush! Advantages: Location on main promenade, access to transport.

...We stayed here in 2006 the last week May, first week June on a "Special" from flyglobespan out of Edinburgh, taken off their website at flyglobespan.com Flights were good timings to and from Edinburgh, and we were met at Barcelona by their transfer reps service and escorted to our coach. The transfer to Santa Susanna took just over an hour and twenty minutes, but this would obviously be longer in peak season just due to traffic volumes. Cracking Costa Coffee!

...Costa Coffee have branches all over the UK. They serve a range of coffees teas and other drinks. Cafes are set out in a comfortable, modern style and the general feel is relaxed and casual. It is quite calming to be in a costa coffee shop and the smell is delicious. I really like the artwork they have on the walls - italian scenes - very funky and modern. They also have a range of plants making it feel quite homey. The tables, floor and toilets have always been clean and well stocked when ive been in - even at busy times. The staff have also been very friendly and efficient. Besides drinks they also serve cakes and snacks. These are also nice but sadly not homemade. Prices are in line with most other coffee shops but i still think they are a little expensive. Quality is probably slightly better than your average run...

Costa Coffee started in America (I know. People say they are an italian brand but they are NOT), doing espresso bars around the country. They evolved since, and now you can find them in a LOT of places. They do a range of coffees, use pure ground coffee, top notch machines, and 'Professional Barristas' to serve you the perfect cup of coffee. From your morning cappuccino, to the afternoon espresso.
