In my darkest days, pushing almost 25 stone, it was my only reasonably priced, mainstream source of outsized clothes that did not carry the psychological baggage inherent in ?Big & Tall? and ?High & Mighty? type shops. ...Anybody else out there getting disenchanted with Cotton Traders? I have shopped with them for some years for basic stuff like t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, but recently have found myself returning many items. And this is the rub - no free returns policy. By the time you've paid for post and packing both ways, you can be £5 out of pocket with nothing to show for it. The last item I bought was a pair of stretch denims, a bargain at £12. You probably saw them advertised - they were an insert in practically every colour supplement. But the sizing was miles out, even though it was nominally the same size as a pair I already have, and which fit perfectly. The no free returns policy is to keep prices down, and they do offer good value on their stock. The range is not wide, the colours are not subtle, but as clothes essentially...

Advantages: Passable quality, quite soft, low price.
Disadvantages: Little subtle bumpy bits in the cotton. Not really suitable for sensitive delicate skin.

Review of ASDA Cosmetic Cotton Wool Pads

It definitely is basic cotton wool!

Advantages: Cheap, does what it needs to do.
Disadvantages: Have to use quite a few, bag is not recyclable.

...Boots Basic Cotton Wool is just 48p so is a bargain price for an everyday use product. The packaging is very basic and is a clear bag with the Boots logo & some information on the cotton wool (100% wool) and it tells you the contents of the bag (100 balls). Once I had ripped a hole in the bag I pulled out a couple of bits of cotton wool and was a little disappointed to see that they were quite a bit smaller than other cheap cotton wool balls that I have brought in the past. I use cotton wool for cleansing my face so I applied a little cleanser to a ball and begin wiping it around my face. I did find that because they were so small I had to use a couple pushed together just to get the job done. I did actually end up using more balls than I would with a different cheap brand and this was a disappointment to me as the price is not...

Clean Cotton Really Does Smell like "Clean Cotton" !

Advantages: A scent everyone can love, burns for hours and hours
Disadvantages: Can be a little pricey

...and waxed poetic (haha no pun intended.....but get it.....WAXED poetic.....we're talking about CANDLES.....ok nevermind...it wasn't that funny=), about how great these things were. They have every smell imaginable, and some that even aren't that imaginable. It was then that I ran into the Clean Cotton candle they make. I had seen them before in the states but I already had specific scents I liked so never gave it a shot. Every single candle I smelled from this Yankee Candle line, is phenomenal (except for maybe the "rose" scent). I ended up buying an Apple and a Cinnamon/Nutmeg scent in addition to this Clean Cotton but so far Clean Cotton has my complete affection. It's lived up to my expectations and then some.
