...I have visited Discovery cove twice now, it is an amazing place. It is expensive but well worth it. It does pay to look around however but on average you could expect to pay aprox £140 for the dolphin experience and £80 without, make sure you get the double bungle where you get free entry to either Busche Gardens or Seaworld. There has to be at least one Dolphin swim experience to book. When you arrive in reception you are greeted by really friendly staff in a beautiful reception area. At this point you are checked in and have your photo taken for your pass, you also get the opportunity to have your debit/credit card details put onto the pass so that you don't have to keep going back to your locker for your money. Even the pass is of a high standard and makes you feel like a vip. You are then given your pass and told what time...

...Since we first visited Orlando in 1993 my wife has wanted to "do" Discovery Cove and we finally did in June of 2009. Up to that point my knowledge of Discovery Cove was actually pretty spartan - in the main consisting of two points - (1) you get to swim with dolphins and (2) it costs a lot of money. Both these things turn out to be true, but the experience is actually a lot more. We arrived early (on a tip that early arrival meant an early allocation of the 'dolphin experience'*), in the event we were in the first group which consisted on the four of us (Myself, my wife and 2 girls 7 and 10) and 3 others. After attending a pre-launch video (which romanticises the hec out of the dolphins as only the Americans could) we were escorted to the waters edge (similar to a small beach) and the attendent gave us a pep talk before wading...

...Discovery Cove is the latest theme park in Central Florida, However unlike other theme parks there are no roller coasters or rides this is because here you get to swim with tropical fish, feed tropical birds and the main attraction is the chance to swim with dolphins. On arrival to the park we had to check-in this where we collected our security passes and were allocated a time for our dolphin swim. Next we were given a short tour around the park which is based on a tropical island where we had a complimentary photo taken. After this we collected our free hire swim gear:- wetsuit, snorkel (which you can keep), mask, sunscreen and for non-swimmers a life vest, we were then able to do as we pleased. A great day out for all the family

...On my work trip to Florida I was lucky enough to visit Discovery Cove for a half day trip and it was one of the best places I have ever been! I have previously been to a similar place in Jamaica called Dolphin cove but this place is much better! What makes this place so good is that the whole thing is made to be a complete day out. Once you arrive you enter through the lobby and then through here into the gardens. There is a path to follow to go down into the cove area and as you walk down here you come to a girl who takes your picture. This is free and you can collect at reception on your way out - it was quite a nice touch as 4 of us got in one picture and they will make separate copies so you can all have one. As you come down past this bit you will then enter the actual cove area where there are different sections and quite a few...

A day in Paradise

...Hands up if you have ever dreamed of swimming with dolphins, bet you have. My eldest has always wanted to and at Discovery Cove she got her wish and we all had a fantastic time in a wonderful place. A visit is a unique experience and is one that I will remember for a very long time indeed so come with me to see why Discovery Cove is like nothing you will have experienced before. What is it?..... Would tropical paradise be too strong a description? Maybe a little but it isn?t far off. Discovery cove is a small attraction by Florida standards but what it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in quality. Here you can swim with dolphins or snorkel with tropical fish or just laze around in superb surroundings, taking a dip in the water if you feel like it.
