...Midnight Cowboy was director John Schlesinger's 1969 classic Oscar winning masterpiece portraying the shattered optimism of the American dream starring Jon Vought (father of Angelina Jolie) as male-prostitute Joe Buck and Dustin Hoffman as his sleazy scheming friend Enrico 'Ratso' Rizzo. The film follows Texan Joe as he naively sets off for New York to earn his fortune as a hustler. Upon arrival he finds little success and things only get worse when he befriends greasy con-merchant Rizzo. Cowboys and Indians Abbott & Costello style

Advantages: Good routines, some good songs and fun story
Disadvantages: A bit of an oddity by todays standards

Howdy cowboy!

Advantages: a great little toy for 18 months plus
Disadvantages: none

...The clip clop cowboy is a really fun little toy from Tomy and both my two little girls really love it. It is made from sturdy plastic and comprises of a bright yellow horse ridden by a cowboy. The colours are really bright and it is a really attractive toy. The best thing about this toy though is not what it looks like but what it does. If your child presses down on the cowboy's hat you hear a loud neigh from the horse who then proceeds to take his cowboy for a ride. The horse and cowboy travel for about a distance of one metre before stopping with another neigh! As it moves, all the horse legs are moving up and down and so is its head while all the time you cah hear it clip clop! It is great fun to watch (if you're two!) and great fun to chase after as well! Cowboy Bebopping the movie

Advantages: Memorable characters, excellent animation
Disadvantages: Music is all Jazz. Bounty hunters again? Man...

...significant role than Jet, but the script could of easily have been adjusted to be watched without them at all (they arethe ones who lead Faye into finding Vincent). You can tell a massive amount of time and effort was put into animating and bringing this movie to life. The illusion of movement is extremely realistic (especially during the intro, that was amazing how they animated that). True that as a Japanese animation some things were exaggerated, but overall they made the illusion of gravity, applied the laws of physics extremely well. The fluid motion also requires it to all be clear and sharp. This is important since it is going to be on DVD (I got the video tape but its a very high quality video tape) so if there are any discrepencies then you'll see it. Advantages: Big stars, some comedy, well acted

The not so big hit of 2000 starring Clint Eastwood (who also directed and produced the film), Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland and James Garner (yes he is still alive!!). The film starts by showing our four heroes as young (yep in the 50s) pilots and engineers working on the supersonic/space testing program for the American airforce. Suddenly withdrawn from the program because of NASA deciding to send a monkey into space they all go their separate ways. Forty years on our not so young heroes are asked to help out with an ailing Russian communications satellite. ...The Usborne activity book 'Cowboy Things to Make and Do' is a really practical and fun book to entertain small children for many hours. There are loads of different things to make including a Wild West wanted poster, a sherrif badge, a cowboy hat and a cowboy belt. All of these activities are given their own double paged spread and have very bright and colourful instructions to follow. There are also over 200 stickers but these donot seem to be related to specific activities. The instructions are all very easy to follow. They are broken down into very small steps and each step is generally accompanied by an illustration which helps your child to know exactly what he or she should be doing. I do have one small criticism though which is that the equipment and materials needed are not listed at the beginning of the activity which means...

Cowboy Bebop ! The insane future

Advantages: Great Anime, great audio, epic space battles it has it all !

...Bepop, hence the name of the title. What's interesting about them is the fact that you don't have any idea about their pasts or who they are, you sorta just get thrown into the action. The series follows the exploits of these two guys. And as they go through the expanses of space, they try to hunt down fugitives in order to sustain living the life of a "cowboy". Along the way, they meet up with a voluptuous female gambler, Faye Valentine, with an equally shadowy (and once you find out, quite lucrative) past, and a very kooky and just plain funny female hacker known as "Ed". Oh, and by the way, they sorta come across a really intelligent dog, a welsh corgie to be precise, known as "Ein". This is the premise of Cowboy Bebop.
