...Here it is, the solution to the hassle of constantly swapping out batteries from the xbox 360 controller's battery pack. This product will definitely save you money as you'll be spending much less on AA batteries especially if you play your 360 a lot. This battery pack however is absolutely useless without the recharging chord or recharging dock. The rechargeable battery pack is very convenient but if you're playing with the controller while it's recharging the controller becomes a wired controller for a couple hours which is not necessarily a bad thing. Also I feel the price for this product is a little steep but I guess it does save you money in the long run. The batteries do last for a long time and I rarely recharge my batteries. ...Hi today I will be reviewing Energizer AA 2500 mAh Rechargeable Batteries. Price You can buy these from Amazon for cheapest £7.05 I got them for £10 from B&Q and I got a charger as well. Life I recommend fully charging these for first time use. I put them on for a day. From the full charge I managed to get a week use out of them. I use them in my Xbox 360 Controllers which are used by me and my brothers so they were on for most of the week. Charge While using the official charger for this product it takes around 6 hours to charge fully (Overnight). Size I find that these batteries are a little larger than the usual AA batteries because in my Xbox controller when I first got them in they took quite a lot of force to get them out again. Advantages: Compact, charges AA and AAA

...not illuminate when plugged in. AA batteries just slot in but a lever has to be flipped down so the smaller AAA batteries fit into the charger. When the batteries are fully charged the green light will go out and the charger will stop charging so it is impossible to over charge and damage the batteries. The charger comes with a 3 pin plug that can be slid off, the 2 prongs underneath can be pulled down and then the charger can be used in America. It would have been nice to have a European adapter to attache on like the 3 pin plug as it is aimed at the traveller. Charging times vary depending on the power of the batteries. If you have rechargable batterys you will save money instead of always throwing batterys way but why wait for batterys to recharge? Microsoft then came up with the idea of the battery pack. On a full charge it will last around 24 hours of gaming and can be on charge while in use! It will add a small amound of extra weight to the controller but not so that you would notice. This is all good! you can now have a charging pack so you no longer need to buy batterys...

Uniross AA rechargable batteries

Advantages: Easy to charge, long-life

...to make it work again - these seemed to remedy this. To re-charge the batteries, I use a Uniross Ni-Cd & Ni MH battery charger that I purchased by recommendation at the same time as the batteries. It takes about 4-5 hours for batteries to fully charge, which isn't bad considering they then last for weeks. The batteries can be charged up to 1,000 times. After the success of the AA batteries, we now use primarily all Uniross batteries to control our battery-fuelled appliances, including Uniross AAA batteries for our television, VCR and DVD remote controls, which last about 6 months. Power at a Price

Advantages: Lasts a bit Longer, Single unit replaces two AA batteries

...This battery pack is produced by Olympus to fit its Camedia compact camera range. It replaces two standard non-rechargable AA lithium batteries and is claimed to last 2-3 times longer. At between £5 and £9 from most suppliers this is an expensive alternative to two batteries that can cost as little as £1 for a pair. This is especially true when you consider it isn't rechargable and doesn't last as long as is claimed (I got about 1.75x). Less if you use the flash a lot. Having tried this battery out, I can frankly only recommend it to those people with deep pockets who don't like carrying a lot of spare batteries around with them. For anyone else I would suggest they save themselves a lot of money by buying a little pouch to keep spare batteries in or acquire the L-ion rechargeable clone version of this battery and a charger....

Disadvantages: Batteries being dead after charge (rarely reviewed for this)

...There is not much you can really say about a rechargeable battery charging station but here it goes. There have been many problems with some of the rechargeable stations with people saying that the remotes were always completely dead even though they had just been charged. People were having to replace batteries when they were pretty much still new and definitely not out of battery. This charging station is probably the better of two evils and i can say that i have never had any problems with it (and i have two). I would suggest that you choose to purchase this one over any of the others that seem to be getting much worse reviews (the main reason for purchasing this one as well) They are great for allowing you to play all night long and also not having to fork out for new batteries all the time.
