This has drastically reduced the amount of washes I have to do in a week, thereby saving my water usage without even utilising the machines capability to determine the amount of washing you have put in and adjusting its water consumption accordingly (I don't know how it does it - just be happy that it does!). Ace, so now we've got our program sorted and we've put all our clothes in, so what really justifies the huuuge price tag? Well, the clue is in it's name - 2 drums. Apparently those clever chaps at Dyson did some clever experiments with different methods of washing and the most effective was hand washing - who knew? To replicate this in a mass produced machine, they decided to have 2 drums contra-rotating (don't be too impressed - I looked it up, it seems that is what the CR stands for in CR02). ...smell for longer. My personal favourite feature with this machine is the ability to customise your wash, and then save it to memory (three slots available) as if it were a radio station. You can select temperature, spin rpm, and other features like number of rinses etc. Yes you really can wash a duvet in it, but think carefully about how you are going to dry it! Natural drying takes hours, and our tumble drier isn't big enough. The Allergy Dyson CR02 is the first and only washing machine to have been granted the Seal of Approval by the British Allergy Foundation. This washing machine is a sound investment, and if nothing else with its space age looks it's quiet a talking point.... Read review

Advantages: Fantastic sound quality for Cassette (see review) ,Record facillity, Battery or Mains operation, substantial build quality, direct drive mechanism, recording level meter and adjustment,excellent headphones supplied.
Disadvantages: Discontinued in the UK, bulky and heavy by todays standards, needs (virtually) unobtainable 'Metal' tapes to get the best out of it.
