I have recently read alot of articles singing the praises of Kiwi fruit , about how good it is for you and with virtually no calories. So with this in mind, I made a conscious effort to remember to pop some in my shopping trolley and give them a try. I found them sold in my local Asda, sold in a punnet of 6 for only 98p. No Pressing Problems

Advantages: Presses trousers with minimal effort and produces a sharp crease.
Disadvantages: If the trousers are not put in perfectly you get a 'tramline' effect.

...do need to be able to get the trousers a good way into the press. If you?ve got short legs it might not be possible. The press also has a sturdy plastic hanger at the back to take a jacket as well as a pull-out tie bar at the side, but these always remind me of a hotel bedroom and do increase the amount of space required. Unless wall-mounted the press stands on two feet which are at right angles to the body. In the basic Classic model these are plastic and not very stable particularly if the press is stood on a deep-pile carpet and it?s easy for the press to be knocked over by children or energetic dogs. Kiwi growing outdoors in the UK

Advantages: No pests, no diseases, no feeding, no watering, beautiful large leaves and flowers.
Disadvantages: The fronds can easily grow to 20 ft. in a season so need lots of space!

...I have a great deal of experience of Kiwi fruits as i have been growing them for about 20 years. This gorgeous little fruit is full of surprises: 1. Kiwi plants are dioecious meaning that they require a male and female plant to produce fruit. 2. They make excellent meat tenderisers due to the enzyme actinidin which breaks down protein. 3. They can be grown outdoors in the UK if planted in a suitably sheltered position. When I tell people about my kiwis they invariably expect that I grow them in a greenhouse. My pair of plants are against a South-facing garage wall. 4. I think I may be the UK record holder for the number of fruits produced on one vine outdoors - this year I harvested 780 fruits!!! 5. With an average retail price of £30 - £35 they are a good few quid cheaper than some of the more fashionable brands but retain the quality of an established company. With more pockets than you would have stuff to put in them these trousers are an excellent choice for the outdoor enthusiast and achieve a successful balance of comfort over performance.
