...As I’ve recently reviewed one of my favourite albums, Craig David’s “Born to Do It”, I thought it was about time to review his second album, released earlier this year. Due to the worldwide success and positive reviews of his first album, Craig had a lot to live up to with “Slicker than your average”. Craig had all but disappeared from the musical scene, after being shafted at the Brit Awards, instead he took time out to record some new material, for this album. Slicker than your Average can be purchased for £8.99 at CD Wow. The title track, and fist track on the album sounds off with a backing echoing voice, with Craig’s voice over the top, before the main vocals are introduced. ...This opinion like totally sucked so here's an update! :) Being a massive Craig David fanatic it was only natural to go see him in concert. I knew I would be busy around the date of the concert but I just had to drop EVERYTHING just so I could see the lovely, gorgeous, talented (ehem, sorry) guy, live! ...I have just bought the new Craig David album, it is absolutely superb. I can't fine one weak link, they are all really good. He's a brilliant artist who keep on producing quality songs all fit to be number one hit...honest no exaggeration. This is guy is good. OK, some people don't like him because he's obnoxious and milks in his success, but that shouldn't over shadow the quality of his music. I'd say he's an artist who combines RnB and garage, and very successfully so. Advantages: Good music, soothing tunes but you can also dance to some of them

...This is by far one of the best debut albums I've ever come across. I bought this album because I'd already heard the tracks 7 Days, Fill Me In, Rewind and Walking Away and loved them! It's rare to actually find an album where you actually like all of the tracks but I do like all the tracks. He has already become one of the most well known artists in music and as he is 19, you can't help but be jealous. His album also offers far more sophisticated music than his other teenage counterparts (ie: Britney, Daphne & Celeste) and so it just goes to show that this isn't another commercialised compilation - it is original and it is GOOD music! There is a good variety of songs on the album - some romantic, some rapping and some funky tracks to dance to. Some of the lyrics are a bit soppy but Craig David performs in such a way so that...

Craig David - an old pro?

Advantages: Good set, Entertaining, EXTREMELY TALENTED YOUNG MAN
Disadvantages: We were left wanting more!

...Craig David is a relative newcomer on the music scene but he knows how to satisfy an audience. I went to see him at the Manchester Apollo in early December, and he was fantastic. I would definitely recommend everyone to catch him on tour next year as although this is his first tour, he is an old pro when it comes to performing. His set was fairly long and he played all the songs off his album Born To Do It and many remixes of his classic songs. His backing band are efficient and there aren't any long pauses for costume changes and the like. This is raw talent on show and at its very best. The audience consisted of young children, love sick teenagers, young women and a few pensioners as well. This shows that Craig's music cuts across boundaries and it is ground-breaking stuff. Craig David great concert shame about the rest

Disadvantages: Far too hot, long waits, loud music and booming base

...My daughter and I recently attended a Craig David concert at Cardiff International Arena, for her 18th birthday. We were pleasantly surprised at how quick the queue went down, once the doors opened. However, the concert was due to commence at 7.30pm, but the 'special guests' did not appear until nearly 8pm, and we were not told who they were (we still don't know!). The guests played for about 35 minutes. There was no announcement as to when Craig was due on stage, we were just left to swelter among the heaving crowd, and get pushed further and further back by fans pushing their way through; everyone around us agreed that they should have arrived earlier if they wanted to be near the stage. Craig David All Over Your HiFi

Advantages: Some good songs. No fillers. Lovely ballads
Disadvantages: Some songs aren't of the standard I expected.

...I must admit I have mixed reactions when I first listened to this album. At first I was INCREDIBLY disappointed. Not only did the songs sound the same, but the chorus lyrics from Rewind were obviously an extract from the song 'Follow Me', which for some reason bugs me. There are only 12 tracks, four of which are well known now ('Rewind', 'Walking Away', 'Fill Me In' and '7 days'). They are all very good songs as the nation nows, but to an extent these are all it is worth buying the album for. The other eight songs are good, don't get me wrong, they just aren't what I expected of Craig David, he set high targets and started off on a high, and I just expected him to carry on that way. Craig David is Born To Do It, and he does

Advantages: Catchy tunes, great layout, never comes out of my CD player!
Disadvantages: There honestly aren't any, except that a couple of the songs sound a bit similar, but they're all fantastic anyway!

...Craig David, award winning top quality r'n'b singer, has released his first album, Born To Do It, which is absolutely fantastic, and he certain was born to do it. This album shows this in many ways: Firstly, all the songs have really catchy tunes. The song that I can't get out of my head is "Can't be messing 'round", which is a high class tune. Secondly, this album has all five of his released singles - Fill me in, Rewind, Seven Days, Walking Away and Rendezvous, which I think are all brilliant songs. Three of those were number 1's and this album reached number 1, which it certainly deserved. Thirdly, the other songs, such as Time to Party, are also really great. Fourthly, of course, his hair is looking really cool! This album has 12 superb tracks, a great layout, and all the music is brilliant. I recommend this album. Buy...
